I was just reading this, very very sad and she leaves behind two little babies. The family seems cursed and all that tragedy and heartbreak must be so hard to handle.

Another reason for Geldof to hate Mondays.

RIP either way, we all have our troubles in life and no one deserves to die at that kind of age. I have no love whatsoever for her dad, but damn this must be a hard day for him. Money can buy you a lot, but it can't buy you happiness.

Horrible news to hear of any death, particularly such a young one.
I found it difficult to read her account of 'going to school as normal the day after' Paula Yates died. She stated Geldof's approach was 'keep calm and carry on'.
I take that stance with my own children at times. The benefits are apparent when faced with a slight grizzle & a grazed knee.
But we know all too well I'm sure the long term damage we all can suffer from suppressed emotions.
I don't know whether the media are suggesting drug abuse or suicide in their reports. Some social media has started buzzing natural causes, specifically 'anyurism' (sp?) in the last couple hours. Either way it's tragic at just 25.

I hope her own children go on to live a happy life despite the absence of their mother.

I also feel sad today for the 2 women who died in Tenereife, 1 (perhaps both) a doctor, who it seems met their fate trying to save children from the waves. I don't know why some deaths hit us more than others, but they do. I'm sure dozens of people died in my county today...

It's very nice to note the difference in tone that this has produced on this forum as opposed to the DIF

Really means something, at least to me.

I think living in the eye of the public must be very very difficult, especially if you are only there because of your parents.

Life is hard enough doing it on our own, without the prying eye of the papparazzi and every tom dick or Harry wanting a piece of you, her life was filled with tragedy and heartache and I imagine that she was very lonely.

I can't say I knew peaches geldof but I feel for her family and friends - 25 with two young babies just does not seem fair.
