So has anyone heard of this supposed "virus"?
LQP-79 is the abbreviated name for the 79th attempt at binding a Lysergic Quinine Protein in an attempt to create a mind control substance for ready for human trials. The virus was in clinical trial stages and awaiting final approval for live subject testing until the Federal Government regulations canceled the use of all simian test subjects.

The quote above was taken from lqp-79.org/ , keep in mind that that website says that the Florida Cannibal was not high on bath salts, but rather he is infected with this virus. Some people have said that the virus and the website is just a hoax and that whoever created this website is just playing on the fear of people. Said website also has a Donation button, lol.

WARNING: If you go to that website, and if you scroll a bit down, you'll see the cannibal's victim's photo! It is a very graphic photo!

I'm highly suspicious, kuma. I doubt we'd know anything about it if it were a virus, let alone have a website dedicated to it.

Noticing the donation button there was good, which means you doubted the validity of it, but wanted to be sure. At least that's how I've interpreted this, Kuma.

The big hint for me that it was a hoax was the mentioning of Meropis University in Greece. It's a fictional/mythological island mentioned by the ancient Greek writer Theopompus of Chios in his literary work Philippica. It's like rewriting/parody of Plato's Atlantis. I wasn't able to find anything on Alfred Rastapopoulos, other than some facebook page I couldn't check out. He obviously doesn't work out of Meropis University since it doesn't exist. I don't know if he's a real guy or not, but I don't think he had anything to do with synthesizing a mind altering virus. As for the virus itself, I haven't been able to find anything else on it, other than the site you posted here, and a few other similar websites. It's certainly a hoax, though I'd like to know why.

Maybe it's just people trying to profit from hysteria? Maybe there's something more to this though? Someone seems to want the public wound up, as is evident with the recent world events and heavy focus on them.

BTW, if anyone ever gets a virus and can't solve the problem for themselves, I would thoroughly recommend posting on this forum:

There's a guy on there who helped me - and I'm fairly computer literate - who was incredibly helpful and solved a problem that I would never have been able to address.
