Is he for real, or are they lining him up to be the next political 'alternative' ;)

anyway, the story...

Donald Trump is a well-known celebrity entrepreneur who has never been afraid to speak his mind. Earlier this month, he decided to weigh in on the autism-vaccine controversy on Fox & Friends, a weekday morning program on the Fox News Channel.

On Autism Awareness Day, Trump made his weekly appearance and was asked about the dramatic rise in cases of autism over the past several decades. The conversation quickly focused on the autism-vaccine debate, when Trump shared his "theory" that autism is caused by vaccinations.

He cited anecdotal evidence, including a family he knows who had a two-year-old child that had "lost it" one month after being vaccinated.

When challenged by host Gretchen Carlson that most physicians disagree with his theory, Trump admitted that his opinions were controversial, but said he could care less what others thought.

The autism-vaccine controversy is something that stirs up tremendous emotions on both sides of the debate and his comments have already been heavily criticized as irresponsible.

Ironically, Trump’s opinions are in direct conflict with Autism Speaks’ official position on vaccinations, an organization he claims to support through various fundraisers.

While I applaud Mr. Trump for speaking out on behalf of parents who feel vaccines may have played a role in their children’s autism, his ignorance on this issue is painfully evident. As such, it’s probably best to let vaccine safety advocates who are better informed to address the media in the future.

Could be one of those 'double-bluff' thingies?

You know, get someone rich and famous that nobody really likes to hint/suggest he's wise to an alternative viewpoint on something controversial, out come the 'scientists' to defend vaccinations and confirm how 'silly' this man who knows nothing is and - HEY PRESTO. We're all talking about vaccines and how they couldn't possibly be the cause of an epidemic, especially as that twat may support the alternative view.

I call it 'Robbie Williams Syndrome'. Works a treat usually, too.

At the end of the day though, you can't really knock the man for speaking his mind, if that is what he was doing. Highly unlikely, especially through the heavily controlled medium of television, but commendable, if true.

this is what i think, my opinion...they have Trump lined up as a potential candidate for politics.

They know that they are running out of people who seem to be viable alternatives, so they are painting Trump in that light...its all very elaborate i think.

what im saying is, trump will be made out to be like a ron paul...and to a lesser extent what they tried with glen beck in the media.

trump will be the 'truther' ...the good guy...because the think tanks see a new demographic emerging and they must cater to that...populism.

but ofc if he was in power he would just be another puppet to the system like the rest of them.

I get you. He does have that whole rags to ritches story behind him, too. Just like you and me, ordinary, hard-working, earned his wealth, kind of thing.

That seems to make the most sense to me. Also, maybe it doesnt matter if the truth comes out about vaccines, as the focus will now be on microchipping people instead as a means to destroy peoples health. They'll be like "yeah, actually scientists have discovered vaccines are bad, but hey weve got these great new microchips for you now - and scientists have proven they really are safe"

Here's the best autism/vaccine debate i've seen on TV:

I saw a fairly average documentary on this which featured Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carey briefly but it did seem in favor of vaccines. As a parent this issue is one that pulls me in all directions.

As for Trump I am willing to say that he might have been told about it and he might even agree with what he is saying. It seems plausible that he honestly thinks this. The problem as you say is that he doesn`t know enough. I don`t claim to know what I am talking about on this which is why I don`t go on t.v . talking about it. He does not have that filter. He hears somebody suggest something and he repeats. It is called right wing talk radio. They probably had a show about it. It is shocking how many ignorant fools on the right are also into x y and z "new age" type things (for want of a better word). It might well be information put into such radio shows to make the ideas sound crazy of course when people with little to no information start running around,
