Paranormal is a general term that designates experiences that lie outside "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation" or that indicates phenomena understood to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure.
Paranormal subjects include those that pertain to ghosts, extraterrestrial life and unidentified flying objects, and cryptids.
Inorganic beings. Mind parasites. Alien entities. Evil, self-defeating thoughts and feelings. Feeling conquered from the inside. I'm not saying that "these things exist, period!" but my interest has most certainly been drawn to this subject and I feel that (at least for me) it deserves a closer, deeper look into the possibilities.

It's been awhile since I read it but didn't Don Juan also talk about inorganic beings in The Art of Dreaming? I haven't read the book you mentioned. Seems like he warned of them "attaching" to human host but I could be confused!
That Stephanie Myers has a movie coming out, The Host, which sounds very Archon-ish. Of course, you know I highly recommend Planet of the Vampires. AGH! I can't find specifically what I want to find in regards to the inorganic beings described in The Art of Dreaming(he called them Scouts). I did come across this interesting quote:
"Inorganic beings can't force anyone to stay with them," don Juan went on. "To live in their world is a voluntary affair. I asked don Juan to explain what 'phantasmagorical projections' meant. He said that inorganic beings hook onto dreamers' innermost feelings and play them mercilessly. They create phantoms to please dreamers or frighten them. He reminded me that I had wrestled with one of those phantoms. He explained that inorganic beings are superb projectionists, who delight in projecting themselves like pictures on the wall.
