Here's another one, though this is a bit out there...

When I was about 7-8, my family lived in low income housing projects. It certainly wasn't the nicest of areas, but it was a roof over our heads. I used to see people get into fist fights, people break into places when no one was home, drugs be sold, etc. There wasn't a lot that phased my young mind then.

One day I was outside playing with toy construction trucks in the dirt when I heard a couple start arguing across the street. That was a common occurrence, so I just casually glanced over. I saw this dark mist/cloud around the man's head, with this muddy purple thread being drawn in from the woman. The man was shouting at the woman who was cowering and sobbing. I did a double take because I had never seen that before. I got a very negative vibe from it, and started to feel like I needed to vomit. The guy turned his head and grinned at me. For a moment I could have sworn I saw an elongated white reptile-looking face amongst the dark mass. The man yelled at me - "What the fuck are you looking at, kid?!" I tore ass inside, ran up to my room, and hid under my bed.

It could have been an overactive childhood imagination, but a part of me doesn't think it was.

I've seen that too mrindigo! Admittedly, I had been smoking pot but it freaked me out nonetheless. Never seen it before or since.

Was at a bus stop at night with my friend and this guy walked passed on the other side of the street but I had to double-take as he started to morph, just like you described.

He also turned to me and smiled a big, broad grin, as if to say, "yeah, that's right. You saw what you just saw".

My mate never saw any of it, apparently, but was looking exactly where I was. She did see the man but not the morphing bit.

I got that vomit feeling too and had to sit down for a bit.

By the sound of it, you did see that! You're the only other person I've crossed who has. I don't know if the woman I saw could see what I did either. Like you I've never experienced that since. I've had a few people tell me that I saw a 'psychic vampire'. I don't know though...

Could be.

It's one of those things that if you try to describe to people, they just think your nuts (or stoned in my case). You really have to have seen it for yourself to 'believe' it, I think.

So, he started out normal enough looking. I knew of him from just seeing him around town but had never spoken to him. As he passed though the shape of the head got larger, almost elongated at the top and the bottom. When he turned his head I noticed that it had also stretched a little in size all round. Looking back on it, it actually put me in mind a bit of those nice chaps from the Predator films, in terms of shape and size, I mean. His features changed too and became much pointier and prominant - if that makes sense?

It was the grin that really topped it off for me.

:couch:

I never noticed the cloudiness you mention though.

That does make sense for me. The shape shifting you described is on point. You might not have seen the dark mist/cloud because of the darkness of night. Had it been daylight, that might have been a different story.

Last night XPD picked up the following in about a 40 minute time span:

Chicken

Nuevo Leon

occasionally

Ok, Nuevo Leon is a state in Mexico. There's also restaurants by that name in Chicago, Austin and Dallas.

I'm tossing out Mexico because these words seem food related. But what does this mean to me?

Nothing, and that's when it hit me: It's NOT about me, at least those words; not related to me, my family or our house in the least.

They are having a conversation amongst themselves. They're discussing foods just as you and I do.

The Chicago restaurant was established in 1952 and is still business today. The Austin restaurant opened in '82 and is also still operating. I can't find out when the Dallas location opened, but the point these are real places.

Austin is 80 miles south of me and Dallas is about a three hour drive north of me. People in my area travel to either to enjoy the things those cities offer that are not present locally.

I don't, it's too damn far and what with the price of gas and no air conditioning.

Of course Chicago can't be ruled out, but as I and the energies are in Texas.......

I theorize that XPD is picking up bits and pieces of conversations which would explain why they never answer me - they're not talking to me!

One did react to me a couple of nights ago, it was a weak energy directly in front of me while I sat at my desk at home. The desk is up against a wall. The wall divides my bedroom and the garage. There is a freezer (large electric appliance) in the garage on the opposite side of the wall from my desk where my computer and battery back up (electronic gadgetry and power source) are located.

If you are a weak energy, that's a handy place to be.

What with a red dot on the radar directly in front of me, I was spooked but maintained a calm appearance. When I just couldn't take it anymore I thought in my mind, 'Go away', and it did.

There was a storm in my area two nights ago with a number of pulse and rapid flux spikes recorded but not many spoken word events aside from 'chard' and 'clover'.

It does seem like that coco.

I have been playing with it on and off the last couple of days. I've noticed that it is most active when I'm completely ignoring it, or doing something else while it's just sat there.

Most recently, it said "beautiful"...now, OBVIOUSLY, they're talking about me at this point, but I reckon you may be on to something with that whole one-sided conversation bit. Many of the words seem to be related and it's almost as if you're listening in on a conversation in a busy restaurant or something, where you can't quite hear everything that's being said.

Interesting little gadget.

There's a minor rainstorm here and XPD registered a strong energy spike followed by the spoken word event: Weather.

:umm: :hide:

We had an older man with a massive heart attack, lots of other problems and he ended up on the ventilator. He was the meanest old coot ever. His grandaughter worked at the hospital and apologized for his behavior and told us he had always been quite a rounder. He would bite, kick, spit, and had to be restrained to keep him from pulling every line he had out.

We coded him three times during his stay. After the third time, his demeanor changed and he became much more cooperative. We explained the change as a bit of ICU psychosis that had resolved. The gentleman became a "frequent flyer" in our ICU, coming in multiple times with CHF and becoming a regular at our outpatient CHF clinic.

He became a favorite, always smiling, joking, a dear man. One day he asked me, "Do you remember the first time I was here and how awful I was." I assured him that I did indeed remember. He said, "Do you know why I changed?" I replied that I didn't but just thought that his meaness was related to his illness.

He said, "No, it wasn't that....the last time you guys brought me back when my heart stopped....I woke up and remembered being in this very dark place....it was awful......It was totally black and there was this awful smell of sulfur and the heat was terrible. I called out and called out and no one answered. I remembered hearing that when people die and then come back a lot of them see a light and a lot of other "good" stuff.

I was scared....I didn't see a light and I knew then I had to change." He lived a couple more years after telling me his story and when he finally died in our ICU, I have a feeling that he saw the "light" and the "good things".......at least I hope so.

What is the XPD thing? I googled the initials but I'm sure you're not talking about motorcycle boots or painters and decorators >_<

I've had quite a few spooky things happen. And my friends and I like to go on "ghost-hunts",but strangely, save for one occasion, all the actual phenomena I have experienced has always been in a completely unexpected time and place.

I remember being out for a walk with my wife one night, prior to popping in for a Chinese takeaway, and we were walking up one particular road and I had that feeling you get when somebody is walking right behind you,and I had the impression that it was a young male, light brown hair. I glanced back but there was nobody there. Carried on with our walk.

But the feeling persisted. I mentioned to my wife that it felt like somebody should be there, but isn't. And she was feeling the exact same thing. I said "It's a male". And she said "I know!".

But...there wasn't exactly any bad feeling coming from this "person". More; it felt like "he" was lonely and just wanted some company for a while. So we carried on with our walk. Once we got back to the car I said,"You can't come any further now". It was more that he was stuck on that particular stretch of road, perhaps. It was quite sad to be honest.
The material world is merely a tool. And tools can build, but they cannot create.

I feel sorry for the paramedic... ugh...
Working the 3-11 shift in a nursing home, I was doing my med pass when I was summoned by a CNA to a room. Upon entering, the CNA states, "I think she just died, while I was changing her!" I checked for breathin, circulation and the patient's orders.

She was a DNR (Do Not Resucitate) then attempted to get a B/P. NOTHING..... so, I called to notify the Pt's son, who requested for Mom to be sent to the ER to be Pronounced, and they would go straight to the hospital.

I contacted 911 (our protocol for transferring for pronouncal) and summoned the ambulance. Approximately 20 minutes passed before the ambulance arrived. The Paramedic and EMT followed thier protocol, and followed the same steps I had (breathing, circulation, and BP) and got NOTHING. By the time they loaded my patient, covered her, and set on the way to the hospital, 30-40 mins had passed.

In transport to our local hospital the ambulance had to cross a Railroad track. When the ambulance crossed the tracks, the patient sat up, pulled the sheet from her head, and proceeded to point and shake her hand at the Paramedic screaming, "TAKE ME BACK, TAKE ME BACK RIGHT NOW! I MEAN IT, TAKE ME BACK RIGHT NOW!!!" The EMT driving pulled over to check out the commotion, the Paramedic exited the Ambulance and proceeded to Vomit.

The paramedic then continued to the hospital, and phoned the nursing home to tell me what had happened. Approximately an hour later, the son phoned stating "I was SUPRISED to arrive at the ER and my mom GREET me! Did you perform CPR after talking to me, you know she was a DNR, right?" When the family was told of this incident, they simply said...."It just wasn't her time."

The only thing that I can come up with (even to this day) is......... the bumps caused by the railroad crossing, "jolted" her heart to start beating again!

Any other thoughts or ideas about this?????

BTW, the paramedic resigned when his shift was over the next morning!

I am not a nurse yet, but have worked in health care for a number of years. I worked with mentally and physically disabled people in a residential setting which is privately owned.
Each house had up to 14 residents.

The house I worked at lost a resident to heart failure the year prior. I worked the evening shift. Near the end of my shift, Relli (co-worker) and I were cleaning up and getting food out for the meals the next day. All the residents were in bed. I heard knocking on one of the bathroom doors down the west hall, in view of the kitchen.

Relli stayed in the kitchen while I went to investigate, no one was near or in the bathroom and as I stood there, there was knocking. Talk about hair raising. Well I ran back to the kitchen and saw RElli pointing with surprise down to the end of the hall I was just in. There, at the fire door stood a man in a plaid shirt, dark rimmed glasses and blue pants.

He waved.

I knew he was not a resident of this house and called out to him. There was no light on in the hall, but we could tell what this man looked like as there was some light from the kitchen and the exit sign....I reluctantly walked down the hall and flipped on the light...as the light came on, the man disappeared....I thought I was crazy but Relli saw it too...we told the night shift about it and Juanita laughed and said "Come here honey, I wanna show you somethin," she was a bubbly woman.

She pulled out a scrap book and pointed out a man, the man I saw in the hall..."Is this the guy?" I said "yes how did you know?" She chuckled and said "That's Henry. He likes to say hi to new people...he isn't harmful, he died last year and his room was down there.."

I used to work the late shift at the movie theater, and theater number 9 has a ghost. It's a little girl, around 3 years old, with long curly blonde hair, in this frilly little blue dress from I would say late 1800s kind of period.

The story is, she was killed on that site back around the turn of the century, and she was killed (hung I think) by her parents.

She's scared to go on to the afterlife because she's afraid her parents will be there. There's no explaination for it and most people don't believe me, but I have seen her. Theater number 9 is always cold, no matter what temp you set the thermostat on, and last night my bf and I went to see Batman in theater 9, and my R hand was cold the whole time.

I think she was holding my hand. One of the projection managers who worked with me when I worked there used to talk to this little girl all the time.

This little girl likes to hang out by the projector, and the manager was trying to reassure her that if she went on to heaven, Jesus would protect her, and her parents couldn't get her if she went to heaven, but I guess her paranormal psychotherapy wasn't working, 'cause I know I felt the presence of this little girl last night while we were watching Batman. Haven't seen any ghosts or spirits at the hospital yet - still waiting.

My dad still lives in the house my siblings & I were raised in, with his latest wife.

I've described the happenings before, but for some reason, I remember having got confused over the age of the house. It has a plaque on the front proclaiming it's construction in 1749.

My paternal grandparents owned it before my dad, but they owned land at the back also, which was since sold. My gran told me they had the biggest pig & poultry farm in Lancashire there (though when I've mentioned it to locals in recent years, who've been farmers for generations, nobody remembers them - I saw old photos though of the beasts there).

We (my brothers & sister & myself) refer to the place as Hell House. There were so many odd happenings there over the years, that it's difficult to know where to start.

You'd just be settling down to watch a film in the evening, and there'd be a blood-curdling scream from (seemingly) the hall - but everyone would dash to the hall and find it empty.

You'd just be settling down to sleep, when a distinct sound, like someone drumming their fingers loudly on the lid of the record player right next to your head, would have you rigid & sleepless for the entire night.

You'd hear a bang from above, so violent that you'd see the cieling above you shake, but there'd be no evidence of what caused it.

My older brother & I used to meet each other often on the landing in the early hours of the morning, when we'd both be creeping about, trying to summon up courage to go downstairs to look at the grandfather clock because it was chiming repeatedly - but would invariably just stop when you opened the living room door.

There was an occasion when I was in my early teens, and I was sitting on the edge of my bed reading the lyrics off an album cover while the record played (Hotel California), and my sister was perched on the floor in the middle of the room, when suddenly, the stylus seemed to be pushed down hard and scrawbed backwards and forwards across the album making a horrible row, and the same time that started to happen, a single carnation that had been sitting in an earthenware pot on a bookshelf at the edge of the room, several feet away, just dropped from above, onto the album sleeve in my hands.

I think the scariest time was when I awoke to hear my sister crying. We shared a bedroom. I was always a very light sleeper. Also, she rarely cried. I asked what was wrong, and she said the furniture had been banging around the room, and she couldn't understand how it hadn't woken everybody in the house up, it was so loud - but she'd been particularly scared & confused that I'd slept through it, knowing how a tissue falling would usually be enough to disturb me. I put the light on with the overhead switch, and could see that an old cast-iron type-writer which had been on a table next to her bed was now lying on the floor. The table had a cupboard in it, and she said the banging had been coming out of the cupboard, really loud.

It did occur to me that she may have been thrashing about in her sleep and knocked the type-writer off herself, though it seemed odd to me that I'd not heard it. I tried to reassure her, telling her I'd stay awake till I knew she was asleep, and to get her head down.

The instant I switched the light off, there was an almighty thump that sounded like it came out of the wardrobe.

I put the light on & leapt out of bed, and she jumped right up into my arms. We just stood there in the middle of the room, while these loud, violent bangs seemed to emanate from one piece of furniture after another, round and round the room.

If I'd made a tiny fraction of that noise coming home late the entire household would have been up investigating, but my parents in the next room, apparently heard nothing. Same for my little brother in the room on the other side.

As each piece of furniture banged, it's door or drawer handles would rattle, and it would actually shake, just as if someone was inside, and trying earnestly to break their way out. To say I was scared shitless would be a masterpiece of understatement.

Then everything went still & quiet for a few moments, while we just there stock still holding our breath (well, Sue was actually in my arms with her feet off the ground). Next there came a soft thud at the window. I went & lifted a curtain, while Sue clung to me like a leach, and saw my big brother in the drive. I just said to Sue that I was going to let him in, and she clung onto me with both hands every step of the way.

I let Pete in - he'd been locked out. He made us a brew while we told him what happened. I asked if he'd been chucking stuff at the walls, prior to the gentle knock at the window - I was clutching at straws really, because the sounds were definitely from inside each piece of furniture in turn, and they were mainly stood against internal walls, but still, I needed to ask the question. Our cups of tea were spilled all over because we were literally shaking uncontrollably. Pete said he'd only chucked one bit of mud up on realising he was locked out, and he'd known we were already up & about because of our light being on.

When we tried to speak to the parents about it the next day, I was told by my dad to shut up and stop frightening my little sister with such pigging nonsense. He said he'd check if we had rats. I told him he'd better look for 7 foot ones that carried hammers and could leap, invisibly around the room then, to which, he reacted badly.

There was one other point - when going downstairs to open the door, there was a bleeping noise we heard on the landing. When I was speaking to my mum about it, I said that I just couldn't understand how she'd not heard anything when it was shockingly loud.

She said the only thing she'd heard was my little brother's radio making a funny noise because he'd left it switched on - she said she'd got up to switch it off in the early hours of the morning, and our bedroom door was open & the light was on, so she knew we were up.

She was trying to tell me that that was what the bleeping noise was we heard on the landing (which in fact was very quiet anyway in relation to the banging noises that had been going on). What I didn't understand about that scenario, was that the day before, I'd tried to replace the batteries in his radio for him, but after removing the old ones, found there were no new ones to put in, and the radio didn't run off the mains, so how it was supposedly making a bleeping noise after being left on after the channel was broadcasting, with no bloody batteries in it is just a minor mystery to me.

We used to have all the neighbours round every Saturday night for drinks & snacks. It was a riot, as they all made their own wines and brought bottles with them.

One Saturday night, while the neighbours were there, we were all sitting in the front room, chatting, when the squeaky door handle between that room & the kitchen started noisily moving up & down. At first there was just talk of needing to get some WD40 on it, but then my dad started shouting for my little brother to leave it alone, because the noise was irritating.

Instead of stopping, it started writhing up & down more insistently, making an unpleasant screeching noise. My dad started shouting more ferociously at Paul to knock it off. But in reality, Paul wasn't doing it. He wasn't in the kitchen, and neither was anybody else. He'd been upstairs, and appeared through another door as my dad was bellowing at him. The back door, leading from the kitchen was closed and there was nobody around - besides which, nobody could have reached the kitchen without being seen coming up the drive from the front room where we were sitting.

It did that on a number of occasions, but that one was satisfying, because there were so many witnesses.

Another time, Sue was sitting at the kitchen table with several of her mates (in their early teens), when a milk jug which had been left on the draining board at the other side of the room, just rose up by its own volition, floated across the room, and dropped, smashing on the table right in front of their eyes. They all ran screaming, and some of them refused to ever set foot into our house again.

There's more, but have to go out to collect Sarah from her mate's now, so will resume later.
