Thanks to everyone for your replies.
I was brought up in a proper haunted house, where we even had events in front of neighbours & other visitors. That's the whole reason why I believe there's something beyond the ordinary, although I don't know properly what it is. I absolutely understand why some people scoff at such notions, because I probably would (or at least assume there was some natural, plausible explanation) had I not witnessed things for myself.
Your ordeal sounds traumatic, K!
I think you're right, Mr Indigo - you do need to take control.
Anyways, so far this was a one-off incident for Sarah, and if I get my way, that's where it will stop.
It's probably more scary to her, because she takes after her dad with his Spock-like logic, and I'll bet she won't dare mention it to him for fear of ridicule.
She knows I'll bolster her courage, because I'm a cocky sod. What entity would like to meet up with me in a temper in the early hours!
However, once whilst in our current house, I think I was getting help from some
thing.
I get migraines every month, always in my right temple, that can last for a week or more. One night I was aware at some level, for quite a while, although asleep, that there was what felt like a small, dainty finger massaging my right temple where the pain was emanating from. It was very soothing. After a while, I became more fully conscious, and focused on the sensation, wondering what it was. It soon stopped in-situ, and then the light (fingertip type) pressure completely left.
