The three-day Edinburgh International Television Festival takes place every August at the heart of Edinburgh festival season. Wow, only £625 per ticket, and you might meet someone who knows James Corden. No wonder they sold out of those "Early Bird" tickets. I'd hate for Greg Dyke to go hungry, though, he only used to earn £500,000 per annum plus expenses when he was D-G of the BBC.
This is why you don't get anything worthwhile from the media. Why would they challenge the system? What possible reason would there be for them to upset the apple cart? How likely are they to expose corruption on any serious level when they're all dependent on the same sort of cronyism?
