Well, I didnt mean to bring up the subject of Pedo...But it WAS discussed in another thread here that accused the Icke board of having child porn on it.

My point wasnt to bring that up but rather to explain how I ended up here (I think.)- Anyhow, the Pedo part was secondary.

I'd hazard a guess the thread is closed because most of us here are bored to the back teeth of the started "Forum Wars".

We have a place here where we are not governed by the rules of a business enterprise. (Sorry David but them's the facts ).
Most of us have come here with tales of this that and the other relating to Sean and the other's who's names I don't know. For many, the first time they landed in the Sanctum Zone was the first time they could vent and share their feelings experiences and grievances. This still happens to this very day. People that land here very quickly find that as long as they take responsibility for themselves and are respectful, they can bring up literally anything. This isn't a conspiracy site, it's a community of forward thinking people trying to build on things they are passionate about. As such to this date, MOST people here have some story to tell about the goings on at the DIF. As we grow it would be natural to project that there will be less and less 'disgruntled ex DIF' posts in the near future.

The nub of it is that the people that have been through the birth and early nurture of this site have had to contend with Sean's "Forum War" for too long. We thought it was all dying down and he appears in chat to inflame the situation and then starts the quickest growing thread in DIF history immediately. A targeted 'attack' on this forum. .It's all about the peace remember folks

I will stick my neck out and say that no-one here wants to stop people voicing their DIF stuff, heck who would I be to point fingers We've kind of all done it

It's just that the people that have been living with this stuff for a while want the "Forum War" to be over. Speak your mind, vent, discuss David Icke's blowing exhaust manifold or whatever just please lets not keep playing the game that is so obviously being played by hands that lie elsewhere. That thread had become a pointless continuation of a "War Thread" and I for one am glad it did get locked.

ALL of the contributors to that thread I'd welcome to chat with me about anything, I particularly like visiting the survival/community section and arguing with griswald that beetles are crap. So far I'm losing quite heavily Just please understand that them that laid the foundation not need a bit of peace

I would like to add to what novum said about posts we feel go too far - so far we have managed to pretty much moderate ourselves - when someone has gone too far people have pulled them up on it in a respectful manner and we have then moved on - friendships intact.

Moderation here as been completely minimal - but and this is a massive but - we have to cover our arses as far as certain stuff goes - we cannot suggest people are paedophiles without evidence that would stand up in court to back that up - or we leave this site open to being shut down. There are very few topics that we really need to be vigilant about but being under the uk libel laws and with the clampdown on the internet already on the increase we have to use the freedom of speech given here responsibly.

That doesnt mean that topics are off limits it just means we have to recognise that one persons words could shut down a community for many - I know I don't want that.

Well, it was not about pedophilia but about the thread opened by a pedophile on DI forum as well as about the mods who supported the pedophile. So, how it was off topic?
Members voiced their thoughts about DI forum or the mods. I am sure that you have read posts to see variety of issues addressed by the members.
What is the difference? Are you saying that if somebody will post about pedophilia like on DI forum, the members will not be allowed to protest. The threads will be closed or members will be banned?

What I was doing wrong? Saying that there was a thread opened by a pedophile that was closed and opened again. Or, saying that a number of members asked to close it but the mods refused to do so for a long period of time. Or perhaps, saying that sean finally closed but accused members who asked to close this thread of being crazy.

Second, people voiced many concerns regarding the mods on DI forum. It didn’t bother you that the mods couldn’t defend themselves but you have a problem now.

First, I didn't have a need to focus on that topic. Please don't make assumptions but read carefully what I wrote to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding. Somebody else brought this subject to the thread and I responded. I didn't start it but I felt that it was important for me to express my thoughts as I and others were not allowed on DI forum to do so.

Just want to commend you for getting stuck in to a direct question about moderation of the site

I've questioned the mods and admin here a lot, bored the shit out of them and said things I should never have to them because like you for some reason I've grown rather suspicious of many website's approach to moderation. To save you a lengthy mod war maybe pay heed to a veteran of the inaugural SZ mod war (I suffered heavy casualties), this lot are allright They're fleshy bloody humany beingy people folk and basically their mod badges mean that they are the ones that have to carry the burden/stigma/shame of having to carry out the community's consensus. On occasion. So far, very, very, very few occasions and Abs caused most of them when he stalked oioioi.
