Right on, but you forgot a few things...

Who can screw the public and each other over more, war mongering, greedy, and I am sure someone else can come up with a few other things to describe politics/politicians.

I voted no. Since this is a something missing topic I propose a comunities album where the members can share their knowledge as learning to do things by pictures.

Better to tak and see the goods and the hands that make them, more doing and less talking in the dark.

:hi: Hi flyermay! It is really nice to see you here. You were my favorite poster in the OWS thread at that other forum and I look forward to reading whatever you want to talk about. Like the other have already said... maybe Government or News section!

Anyways, I'm glad that you are here! :marx:

Thanks... I'm looking forward for the protests to continue this summer. Did you go by another name on the DIF?

Anyway... I think this forum needs a section for politics. I mean, in the 2 years + I've been posting on the DIF, I think that most of it was in the "Political manipulation...." section... communism/capitalism, anarchism, the venus project, political corruption... even the OWS and the #SpanishRevolution ... all goes in a section for politics.

Of course, I have no problem using the Government section... but having a proper political section would make it easier for posters and readers... and there wouldn't be anything to loose; those that don't like politics would avoid it, and would not find threads on politics all around the place... everyone wins. :)

Cool. ;)

Maybe it would be easier to just change the "Big Brother /Government /Foreign Policy" section to "Politics / Government / Big Brother"...

Hi flyermay. Look on a young forum such as this we are a little hesitant to make a large number of categories only to see them pretty much empty or little content. We have had a number of requests for additional categories and it gets to a point where i feel there are too many if we add one whenever somebody asks.

So for now i think we can just use the section you spoke about, we changed the descriptors a little to include politics so there wont be any confusion as to where threads about politics belong.

If we see it becomes very busy in the future we can look at creating a seperate category, and it isnt a big task to move older threads into that category also.

This thread was also moved into the community chest category since this is the place to ask questions about the site.

I really don't mind if there's a politics section or not. If the majority want one, then fine! Oddly enough, though, I'm relieved to see there isn't a Religion section (even though I have a personal faith!) - the one over on the DIF turned into an absolute bear-pit. I barely escaped with my life on several occasions! :hide:

Yes, I see what you mean... Didn't think about that: you just can't open a new empty section waiting for people to post in it. I guess the right way to do it is splitting existing sections when they get too big.

I also saw you added "policits" to the government/big brother... that's perfect. thanks.

We've already sorted it, you just need to know the handshake.

Abs will fill you in.

Not sure who will teach you the handshake though.
