Why continue to pretend that new members are coming here with a clean slate, when they clearly are not? What do people think of deleting that ethic? Or applying it genuinely - one or the other.

That's the most sensible thing I've seen posted in here gilly.

Why not drop the pretense once and for all? It's clear that some folk are exempt from the rule so why not just fuck the rule off?

In fact why not just drop any thoughts of it being a sanctum zone?

That's one of the things I like/respect about you gilly - you're honest. :)

The 'clean slate' policy was originally my idea...part of the SZ dream (& I don't regret giving it a fair chance either)....but in reality, I have to admit it hasn't worked, from day one.

Something to do with human nature perhaps....

So oi, to get things clear... what is the justification for your action here if there has been no rule breach?

Megathread is just housework, I've already said I get that...but in the absence of any rule breach, what is it that empowers you to stick pretty much the entirety of a member's posts in a section that is clearly meant to insult them?

Like most in this thread I had no clue where was best suited for one of his doom threads when another member highlighted how his choice of section was clearly a joke, I therefore said as much to him and put it in Have a Laugh, he never objected.
