The one thing I would say - and I say this without having seen any of what happened with his most recent sock, I don't even know what the user name was - is that if he came back and explicitly announced who he was it should have been made clear what the new rule is and the old account reactivated before that account being banned. I think if he was just banned after saying who he was that would have been a bit tight as it wouldn't be socking up and pretending to be someone else. But like I say, I don't know what exactly happened,

I can't remember what was agreed, but I really think 'voluntarily inactive' should be totally ditched. It serves no purpose.
