Everyone has something interesting to share in my opinion. (myself excluded obviously).
If people hold back it just ends up being the same old voices filling the void and ending up bickering at each other.

Just to briefly add my input (not that is really my concern any more, but I do wish many of you well, & SZ itself believe it or not), this 'purge' of non-posting members is a really bad thing for SZ & its future in my opinion.

You are discouraging potential new members who, for whatever reason may not want to post for a while after joining.

Also, I smell hypocrisy here...

oioioi, has 'OliverIrwell' posted on TZ at all since he joined a while back? No, he hasn't has he....

I'm not seeing any hypocrisy myself. Surely it would only be hypocritical if he complained at having that account closed down once it had remained unused for some time.

I have to say that my account at TZ may as well be closed. On the extremely rare occasion I look in there now, I invariably see snidey & misinformed comments about SZ which annoy me, so it's not feasible to contribute happily to both places, as much as that was what I'd initially intended.

Also, I've a strong instinct that Papilon (and possibly someone else here) was a particular individual who proclaims on TZ what a rotten place this is and how he/she would never want to be here. If my instinct is correct re the identity, then that's what I call hypocrisy.

Look gilly, the simple fact of the matter is this: oioioi is getting all whatever about deleting members who don't post because he's somehow worried that they are 'potential socks in waiting' or whatever.

If you want to subscribe to that mentality, then go for it. Your choice.

Has he been a member previously there under a different username? If not, he can't really be a 'sock' in waiting.

So if you were to close that account on the basis that it hadn't been posted on ever, and not logged on for 6 months (as per what's been proposed here) he may well just think it's of no consequence, if he even noticed. After all, he could have joined with the intention of contributing, then found he didn't want to be bothered after all.

Whereas, if he whinged about it having been closed, that would then make him a hypocrite. Fair's fair DG.

And what really pissed him off is that I bubbled him. Just a couple of hours after I announced OliverIrwell was him on TZ, skettii pm'd me to tell me that all my admin access on SZ had been removed.

What does that tell you eh?
