Oh my word!!! That list is simultaneously gobsmacking and hilarious!

So my hubby falls off his horse in wartime get's kicked in head by said horse and is sent to loony bin!!! So now he's deserted me I turn to bad whiskey I supress my instinct to masturbate in his absence. I then discover to add to my woes that my parents were cousins and my son has been killed in said warmy emotions get the better of me and masturbation becomes totally derranged I take up opium habit and start imagining that I have female trouble I try to control my habits and urges by reading some novels and study religion with diligence, I get rather enthusiastic about my new found faith realise that tobacco and masturbation were actually a far better way to ease my grief. I then start imagining that 'female trouble' is starting and my uterus is becoming derranged only to find that it is just women trouble and time of life. I decide to join the salvation army and turn my back on the immoral life I have been leading. But I soon get frustrated and realise I have now been masturbating for 30 years and this has turned to excessive sexual abuse I am so ashamed I get killed fighting a fire I accidentally started.....

The only one I'm not guilty of is suppressed masturbation. Actually, I've never deserted a husband either.

How can it be insane to masturbate for 30 years, and also to suppress masturbation? Doesn't this mean that everyone over a certain age is insane by definition? Or does it mean that it's insane to masturbate for 30 years non-stop? I would have thought you'd have bigger health problems than mental-related ones if you attempted to do that.

I would love to know what "imaginary female trouble" is. Is this trouble with a female that you've imagined? Is it imagined trouble with a real female? It is a female having an imagined problem? Or is it an imagined female having a real problem? I really think they need to be a bit more precise.

Where it says Laziness , in those days were refering to DEPRESSION, people were sent to an Asylum if they had depression,
