23 injured and 2 dead so far apparently. 6 of the injured in critical condition. Apparently there was an emergency plan in place and they have changed the marathon route in response to the event near the finish line.

I think any well managed event these days has an emergency plan in place. I don`t think it is sinister. I have an emergency plan when I go to work. It is very common. That did set off my Alex Jones story alarm. I think Paul Watson is writing the story now.

This page actually has a flash movie on it which shows I assume the first blast as it happened. One runner looks like he was hit by shrapnel of some sort.

I'd heard about the 2 explosions at the Marathon finishing line on the news headlines, but didn't realise there was also a third, 5 miles away at the JFK Library. :(

Based on what I heard on the news, this could have been a suspicious package that has been detonated in the context of what occurred at the marathon. This was just suggested on the BBC, anyway. On the other hand, this is being reported elsewhere:
Time reporter, Andrew Katz has confirmed via Twitter, that there was an "incendiary device" possible at JFK Library as well as "another device" in front of Boston's luxury Mandarin Hotel. He gained this information through a police scanner.
But it's a bit early to comment because everyone's running around panicking, etc, at the moment.
