Russia, EU to build common energy market by 2050

Previous European legislation providing competitors with equal access to infrastructure still stymies Gazprom's expansion into the European market. The Road Map promises support for such large-scale projects of mutual interest.

Russian Energy Minister, Alexandr Novak, and EU Energy Commissioner, Gunther Oettinger, have signed a document for energy cooperation between Russia and the European Union until 2050. The Road Map declares the strategic aim of cooperation is to create a “pan-European energy space.”

According to the terms of the Road Map, by 2020 Russia and the EU will provide support for large gas infrastructure projects which the two sides designate as projects of mutual interest. By 2030 they will harmonize market regulation, and by 2050 remove all barriers in the oil industry.

Currently, Europe is the destination of 70% of Russian gas exports. The Road Map obliges the EU to inform Russia about any changes in demand for natural gas or measures to reduce the use of hydrocarbons.

This is why if you've watched the Champions League recently, you might have noticed the hitherto not very well known Gazprom emblazoned all over the place:

You're going to increasingly see Russia gain a more prominent and powerful position as the European and North American economies increasingly degenerate, as it allies itself with China, and the European countries become increasingly vulnerable and dependent on Russian energy.

2050 is a key date in the globalists plan, with EU policy being directed towards this:

ec.europa.eu/clima/policies/roadmap/index_en.htm

ec.europa.eu/research/social-sciences/pd...e-2050-report_en.pdf

ec.europa.eu/research/transport/publicat...ms/vision2050_en.htm

By this point there is the intention to have a completely 'carbon-driven' economy, with numerous carbon trading initiatives now coming to the fore. Although this will be very much in place before 2050, the idea is to progress to this idealised neo-feudal society by the year 2050. There will be virtually no petrol-driven cars on the road, electricity will be delivered to everyone through 'smart networks and metering' that will continually monitor, direct and ration usage:

www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/cen...ter-spending-by-2023
By 2020, every nation in the European Union is supposed to have 80 percent of its utility customers connected to a smart meter of some kind.
You can read more about smartgrids here:

www.smartgrids.eu/documents/vision.pdf

This is an incredibly obtuse document, but the following paragraph confirms what 'smart metering' is all about:
SmartGrids will help achieve sustainable development. Links will be strengthened across Europe and with other countries where different but complementary renewable resources are to be found. An increasingly liberalised market will encourage trading opportunities to be identified and developed. SmartGrids networks will, in addition to electricity flows, establish a two-way flow of information between supplier and user.
www.spiked-online.com/site/article/7814/
Smart meters will enable all sorts of dodgy policy wonkery to be realised. For example, the word ‘rationing’ is toxic to political parties, but the Institute for Public Policy Research (once known as New Labour’s brain) is quite keen on the idea of personal carbon trading (PCT), despite public hostility (3). Every individual in the country would be allocated an equal number of ‘free’ carbon permits annually. These permits would be surrendered whenever energy is purchased – for domestic heating and electricity, and for petrol or diesel for transport. Businesses would buy permits from government in auctions and individuals with ‘low carbon lifestyles’ could sell surplus permits to the more CO2 profligate.

Over time, the number of permits available would be reduced to lower CO2 emissions (gradually). Until now, the government has considered PCT too expensive to set up and run (estimates range from £1.4billion to £2.6billion) (3). But smart meters make rationing practical and inexpensive. There is no need for a complex system to distribute permits if the government can simply order all central heating or washing machine temperatures to be turned down, or even turn off your lights if your consumption indicates you may have hoarded the old 100-watt and 200-watt light bulbs – all by remote control.

We're in fact already hearing about potential gas rationing:

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/...st-time-8544975.html

But this is more of an economic than supply and demand issue, despite the rhetoric that will be put forward.

I could go on about this at quite some length, but this is the sort of society that is envisaged:

We will have a huge grey population in 2050 and then a rapid die off and dwindling of numbers.
We'll probably also have a very controllable population at that stage, many people will be sterile.

This ofc flies in the face of what people see today but perspective is everything.

Is that based on Mad Max and the Clive Owen Dystopia "children of men"?

Can you point me to source for either of these assumptions please, couldn't see anything to support on your link.

Thats the fertility ratio, below 2.1 and you're in decline. Of course it won't take immediate effect as the existing population has to die off before its noticeable.

esa.un.org/unpd/wpp/unpp/panel_population.htm

Select population on the left then world on the right, select low variant (low deviation from current trends, not low as in low population), then say 2000 - 2100 for your timescale or longer if you want to see it projected further.

You'll notice the dropoff. Whats interesting and especially relevant to wub's supercity videos is the population density info.

By 2100 we end right back up where we started...and it continues to decline...

The replacement births will be primarily coming from less developed countries.

www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/01/090118200636.htm

the above shows how declining male fertility is linked to chemicals appearing in the water supplies, indeed various pharma chems are entering the water tables now. the implications are quite staggering, had to laugh at the children of men reference btw :D
