I've been on the receiving end of racism. My mother moved me from the welsh stream in school to the english stream. Agreed, re the op. I think it's probably safe to say that many people have been and will be effected by recent changes to benefits as well as the gradual but quite obvious erosion of 'state' housing. Coupled with ridiculous house prices, rents and mortgages, it's really a wonder the number isn't much higher...though I suspect we haven't seen the worst of it yet.

Nationality and immigration are both artificial devices designed to separate and control us.

Take away the national borders concept and the immigration issue disappears right along with it.

It's not the fault of a 'foreign' person coming here that we have inadequate housing stocks or jobs.
That would be the politicians WE elected to blame for that.

Go anywhere in the world and birds of a feather flock together.
I'll guarantee you that as a Scot I could talk to you (in Scots) and you would have no clue wtf was going on.
That happens throughout the UK. Should we also chuck out all those who live in rural communities and only speak, Gaelic, Welsh or Irish?

As igan would say, none of us have been raised with a level playing field. Its my contention that the kind of thing you experienced, jane are a direct result of that.
Those kids will have been fed the division by their parents etc, who would similarly have been fed it...
If the slate were wiped clean and no-one had any idea of previous schizms, atrocities and hardships. If the slate were wiped clean and everyone had an equal chance to live right and prosper. If the books that divide were all burnt.
Then we may begin to really see whats in our dna.

So lets have a look at one of the roots of the problem.
Thatcher releasing social housing into private ownership.
Which obviously had a quick effect on stocks of houses for those in need. Which continued.
Invariably those folk that buy end up selling and moving up the property ladder. Which ends up inflating house prices. Especially when in conjunction with economic tools to push prices up.
Which obv has an effect on rents too. Private rentals become more expensive.
30 years on, we have a situation where buying is not an option, renting is a tough option and social housing stocks are pathetic...
But some have thatchers dream of having moved up the ladder...
This is but one root. Wub could ive you many more.
To even attempt to paint immigration as a serious factor is to be a blind deaf and dumb idiot. Or to be doing so for a reason. A reason of highly dubious motive.

So anyone making such a contention is either an idiot or a cunt. Not much room for debate...

With any pyramid sales system you need people to suffer for it to work whether it's homeless people or unemployed people.

I am amazed how well the housing market deception has worked in the UK.

For example your average terraced house that was designed to cram in as many mill workers and factory workers as possible were not worth much and undesirable at the time.

With the housing deception in certain areas a false value is put on these houses making them more desirable in present times than when they were originally created.
