I've had a go at religion myself for example, but I diss ALL abrahamic faiths in equal measure and I do not associate everyone who is a member of such and such a faith as ALL being the same.

This is ridiculous but if someone could do the honours...

I am refering specifically to those caught up in between the inception of the sanctum and the new forum rules being implemented - in the no nasties group - which was set up as a direct response to the atmosphere and tone of the main forums - people attempted to discuss the issues they had - you came in like a bull in a china shop - accused one poster in particular of nefarious intent and were rude, bullish and condescending - you decided to remind us that the social groups section of the site was not somewhere we could discuss moderation and imho used the same tactics as always - namely silence anyone with genuine grievances from being able to discuss it and get feedback openly with other members - by reminding us of the rules forbidding us to talk about moderation and risking a ban - in the hope I suspect that it would blow over.

As a direct result of this restriction on freedom of speech an alternative place was set up in order to lift that restriction and to avoid the atmosphere that we were finding intolerable.

What alternatives would you suggest? people have repeatedly posted about such things - people have reported posts and had conversations with moderators about the issue but nothing changed - what to my mind has happened - is that some peoples freedom of speech was protected at the expense of others freedom of speech - which is your call to make - your forum - but when people who have expressed the same worries and the same perceptions as those who have moved elsewhere is it not natural to wish to give them the opportunity to express themselves elsewhere? particularly as those who have been invited to the sanctum forums have not been told they must choose between here and the dif - they have not been told they cannot be members of both places - rather they have been given the opportunity to discuss grievances and be a member wherever they like. That is not 'stealing' members nor is it an attack on the dif - it is offering alternatives without restrictions - if those who have read what people on the sanctum have to say - have resonated with what has been said and have felt they same way - that is their choice - we have strong armed no one into doing anything.

In regards to the due dilligence - I accept what you are saying - however - going by things posted on another forum is a little reactionary - without going in to specifics what about those made involuntarily inactive - rather then banned - is this because their accounts are likely to be reinstated at some point? do you not think that making people involuntarily inactive without first telling them why is a little wrong? as it gives the impression to others that they have asked to go inactive?

You say that you do not think that the sanctum was set up as an anti icke site - and yet the url and any mention of the place was removed immediately both from the forums and from the no nasties group and people were being banned - you go on to say that it was banned for attacking, abusing and telling lies - there is an anomaly there - care to address it?

You suspect that more malicious forces are involved - care to be more specific about that? it is quite a statement to make - a general one at that and offers no proof of your suspicions.

I do not believe I have put any spin on it - I have observed the tone of the dif for a long time and from the inaction (until all this kicked off) by admin to address the problems it is safe to say that the impression I get is that whilst mods may not be anti semitic - I don't think icke is anti semitic either - there is collusion with anti semitic sentiment in that it is not dealt with - when attempting to address concerns I had - I was told I was taking things out of context - which would be fine if it was just me - I am known to be wrong on more then one occasion - but it is not just me who has spoken about this - there is not a week goes by when someone does not comment on it - again we cant all be 'zionist shills' or over sensitive or any of the other things said to belittle our concerns.

There are a plethora of sites. blogs, videos all saying that anti semitic posturings are 'safe' from moderation on the dif - not anti zionist - not anti israel but anti semitic - again not all of these people are going to be zionist shills or over sensitive - nor are all of these people saying it to be anti icke - they say it because that is their perception - how many people will it take to perceive the forum in that way in order for you to take the blinkers off and and at least investigate with an open mind the criticism leveled? - and thats not even starting on the homophobia, sexism and the abusive nature of posters from both sides of any argument.

Believe it or not I do have davids interests at heart - I believe that he does an important service to the world speaking about things he does and in doing so in the face of the ridicule he has had to endure - I may not agree with him on everything - but I admire him and I appreciate the work that he puts in to doing what he does - I may question some of the things that I am told about him - I question everything.
