*Edit* We do ban out & out troll, btw, once they've been given a fair chance, and we've been given the chance to play with them.

There are those of us who don't think people's freedom of speech should be more important than others' freedom to not have to endure wankers whose sole motivation is to stir up shit and ruin the place, for sport.

There are examples around the net of forums that have allowed trolls to destroy them by deterring decent posters.

Just a few months back we had someone use limelady's name to sock up.
Dicks will sink to any depth.


My view is you ask them to apologise and withdraw offending posts, if they refuse you sling them.
If they then wish to return (after making an apology and withdrawing the offending posts), perhaps people will grant them another go.

Once they've overstepped the mark, it's on them.
I don't hold with waiting for repeat offence after repeat offence until they 'learn'.
s'not ever gonna happen.

I'm not sure why he was banned there but he seems to have arrived here at about the same time as TPV was opening. last October/November according to his profile. (last post here on the profile)

Seems to be that some posters (I don't mean Cowboy in particular) have been poorly treated there and perhaps want to take their aggression out elsewhere.
TBH I felt like letting of a rant but controlled myself into passive action, I imagine C_F like other posters turn up with a bit of a chip on their shoulders, we saw another come and go recently as they took an 'overreaction' to a post by knobmeup, this person was clearly fucked off before knobmeup had posted :emb:
