The guy is strange. He came across as being pretty intelligent and sensible to me, at first. But the illusion eventually wore thin and it broke completely when the Sonia Poulton story (and all subsequent drama) came out. I don't think he's dumb or brainwashed or anything, just probably has his head in the clouds (maybe too much of those mushrooms in his avatar). He certainly has been one of the "tow the line" posters on DIF, although to his credit, he hasn't been pigheaded or a bully about it.

I wouldn't say it was google competition like real life pub quizzes i phones and weak bladders seem to rule the day now, before this phenomenom I used to earn a tidy beer income from dragging up the random stuff that inhabits my brain - for a lot of of us it was who got in first with an answer (people moaning about lag came up a lot), the beauty of a chat room - Ian did throw some random which involved mad guessing and then there was the impossible with clues and then if we didn't get it mr google was suggested - I never googled though I was accused of it :mad:

Gilly I've got enough questions to do about 3 quizzes - so I would put myself up for quizmaster for the first few quizzes . Not sure this week is a good time to start - 1st Feb Sat night and see how it goes...where's the best place to start a thread?

Anyone heard from Tien En at all since they were banned from DIF? A genuine poster who articulately expressed their (very reasonable) doubts from early days, and were obviously kicked out because of it.

If you check earthlinggb blog round about the end of Nov the "banned" story he commented on there - there are a few more earthb blog posts where when you think back to the first night of TPV on what tien said he was trying to get the message out...what he said wasn't wrong the way he was treated was...
