I thought I would take the time to make a long post on here as I took the time to read the whole thread!
Firstly, I wasn't posting regularly on the DIF when modgate was happening, and I don't know what any of the other 'gates' are.
I have been on the DIF during the last couple of weeks, though, and noticed that numerous people, who I couldn't possibly imagine would have said anything remotely offensive, had been banned.
I then also noticed that we were being warned about 'other anti-Icke Internet forums'. I had thought this was probably the batshit insane 'Infinite Love' forum:
www.infinite-love-forum.com/
(If you ever want to depress yourself and lose all faith in humanity, try reading that for a bit).
I then noticed while I was checking my Hotmail - which I fail to do with sufficient regularity - that I'd been invited to this forum, so naturally I signed up.
I've read through this thread and I'm not aware of all of the issues, although I know about some of it. But in my opinion, the following bolded rules:
Insulted Other Member(s)
Provocative Trolling
Disruptive Spamming
Posting Copyrighted Material
Posting Pornography
Trivial One Word Post
Advertisements Not Allowed
Hijacking Threads
Racism
Criticising Moderation on the Forum
Threatening another member
Threatening a Moderator
Overtly Aggressive/Argumentative behavior
...are barely enforced at all, let alone taken sufficiently seriously (you could obviously say the same about racism, but I ignore all of those halfwits' threads).
I was followed around by the following user (who is now inactive, I’m not sure if this is permanent or not, or who instigated it) for several months:
forum.davidicke.com/member.php?u=18436
He literally made abusive post after abusive post after abusive post. After my initial interaction with him, I ignored him completely. Having had one short conversation with him, in which he claimed to be ex-SF, I realised that there would be no point whatsoever in trying to reason with him. It’s hard to say whether this is true, but I suspect that it is, as he’s nowhere near intelligent enough to produce the very convincing impression of a psycopathic personality disorder that he fulfils on the DIF.
I had him on my ignore list, but after I posted he would almost always pop up on the same thread making personal attacks against me. So I reported every single post. But it continued. After a while, I realised that the only way I would ever get rid of him was to bait him, and report every single post after I’d done so. So I simply bumped up threads that I knew he would react to, particularly regarding Syria and Iran, with relevant and important information, of course. Almost without exception he would then make some abusive remark, and I’d report it.
Eventually he was put ‘on warning’ and was barred from the site for three weeks. I must have reported at least 35 posts in order for this to happen. And bear in mind that I’d said not one word to him during this time. As soon as the warning expired, he came back to the site and engaged in exactly the same conduct again. I reported dozens more posts. Nothing happened. Eventually, I PMed a moderator with a massive list of abusive posts that he’d made about me and he was put ‘on warning’ again.
He then returned to the site for a third time. At first he was ignoring me, but after a few weeks he started following me around again, yet again engaging in abuse and personal attacks. This time when I reported the posts pointing out that he’d been ‘on warning’ twice for this precise conduct towards me, his posts were deleted and I assume he received notices. His account is now inactive, but he could, presumably, come back at any time.
And I’m not the only person he’s been abusively stalking. He’s been following wakeup2nwo around for literally years. Yet he’s been allowed to rack up over 6,000 posts, almost all of which are total shit, and a very high percentage of which are abusive. Eventually he reduced the user tracker to the following tirade:
forum.davidicke.com/showpost.php?p=1060826326&postcount=88
Yet he’s still not been banned! Now, you can’t bully me because I grew up somewhere where 75% of people are hostile! And I don’t give a shit what people think about me. But why should I put up with this? How can such flagrant abuse of the completely necessary regulations being ignored be acceptable? The only reason I signed up for the DIF in the first place was because I was concerned about the direction the world is going in and wanted to do something positive. How can this possibly be achieved when every single subforum is being trolled to shit?
I also wanted to say something else about forums in general and the idea that all the controversy is allowed to take place because it creates interest and subscribers. I’m not sure whether this is the case or not, but I do think it’s possible. I also think it’s possible that Icke has no idea what goes on. I’ve actually agreed with the views he has expressed about Internet forums – ie. that they become an egofest and can be very negative – and have been amused to see some of the worst perpetrators of this on the DIF be offended by these views!
But I’ve been giving this some thought and I’d actually already given it some thought with regard to myself, because as you may or may not know I’ve written a book, and it’s hopefully going to be published soon, and I’ve started writing a second book, and I’m going to try my absolute hardest to make a living from writing. At some point once it’s been published I might start a blog, and I’m going to try to do some alternative media interviews, and I might collate these on a Youtube channel. But on any such site that I have control over, I will not be publishing any comments from other people, positive or negative. This may seem unduly censorial but I just don’t see the point in this obsession with feedback (although it’s a good thing in the MSM, one would have to say). If you want to review the book, review it on Amazon. If you’ve got something to say about me, make your own Youtube video and say it there. If you think you can do better, put your money where your mouth is. There are so many shysters online – and in real life too, I guess – who feel qualified to have a go at other people, but their own wares are not particularly impressive, as far I can see. It’s always some pathetic attack because they’re covering up for the Jews, or the Jesuits, or they don’t talk about the Muslims enough, or immigration, or the Masons, or some other divide and conquer crap. I have already experienced this, click the following link and scroll down to the comments:

...I’ve just done one little radio interview, and I’m already covering up for Zionist Jews! Even though I mentioned Israel in the interview, I wrote about Israel and Zionism in the book, I’ve never been to Israel in my life, I’m not Jewish and I’ve never knowingly met anyone that’s Jewish!
Nor am I interested in the ego trip of receiving praise, nice though it undoubtedly is.
So my view is that I would never have an Internet site and then have a forum on it because it just invites your detractors along to endlessly bash you. And this is the Internet, so you will have detractors! I have never, ever, ever seen an Internet forum not turn into incessant arguments (hopefully this will be a first!). Personally for me, I wrote my book for several reasons. Because I love writing. Because I wanted to do something positive. Because it’s always been an ambition of mine to have a book published. And to make money. And if people have a problem with any of those things, that’s fine, but I’ve never seen anyone knock J. K. Rowling for writing Harry Potter. I’ve never seen anyone claim that James Joyce wrote Finnegan’s Wake or Ulysses to make money and that it detracts from the text. But if people want to knock you, that’s fine, that’s their right, but why you would set-up a site and then give them a platform and open invitation to do so on that site, I have no idea.
If and when this happens you can hold me to this and see if I do allow any comments!
Anyway, I’m still going to post on the DIF, but I’d pretty much given up participating in any discussions, as I’d grown tired of being constantly attacked and constantly having to explain really basic points to ignorant people who never pay any attention to your explanation anyway. I was just really contributing to the 9/11 forum because it had become over-run by trolls and I thought the front page needed tidying up. I’m not against the DIF, and I’m certainly not against Icke, and I would genuinely be disappointed if I was in any way banned for joining another Internet forum, not least because all the people that are currently trolling the 9/11 forum would proclaim it to be a great victory and would once again completely over-run it. It would, though, be nice to spend some time online somewhere where people aren’t aggressive, abusive, baleful, needlessly profane, bigoted, etc.
Sorry that was a long post, but I had nineteen pages to respond to!
