Thanks for the link. Obviously a daft thing to say. I must say that his version of Poulton is quite believable, I am inclined to believe it. As I've said previously, I believe that she was mainly motivated by salvaging her own reputation rather than any act of conscience. But this is hardly surprising when you employ mainstream journalists with decades of experience and pay them £300 per month. From my experience, there are very few people of genuine character and conscience out there, and you'd be incredibly unlikely to find them working in the media for a sustained period!
For me, it's extremely disappointing that of all the people you could have employed, the two people fronting the station were both experienced media personalities. This is the total opposite of what should have happened. I have zero desire to be a TV presenter, but I honestly believe I could do better than either of them based on what I've seen. Maybe I wouldn't do the links to camera quite so well, but is that what it's all about, really? If you're interested in that, you might as well get Ant and Dec and Davina McCall to front it. It's about the substance of the presenters' knowledge and the way they challenge their interviewees. I just don't feel it's there for either Poulton or Allen, and there must have been many, many people out there who could have done a better job.
I would have suggested Keelan Balderson for starters. Whether he would want to do it is debatable, but he's a very good radio presenter, much better than me, and I'm sure he would be really good. And he knows ten times more than Allen and Poulton put together, and he's never likely to work for the BBC, in fact when the BBC tried to get him on 'Conspiracy Road Trip' he gave them short thrift. It's not at all surprising to me that the one person who has been very well received is not the professional media operator, it's the guy who's been involved in activism for over a decade who actually knows what he's talking about.
