@ Gilly I have a sneaky suspicion that the reason posts are still being deleted is to protect the book store rather than TPV.

I have a few things to say about this, but before I do so....why is everyone on the DIF going about Noel fucking Gallagher? I have heard him say explicitly in an interview words to the effect of "I look after me and my family, I don't give a fuck about anyone else". I'm only slightly paraphrasing him there, but it wasn't an entirely flippant remark, he was talking about bands engaging in charity work. Why anyone thinks he's going to help fund this venture just because he went to see one Icke talk, I have no idea. I've heard him on the radio, he watches Sky News all the time and reads the News of the World (I've no idea why because he's been in the NOTW a lot, and therefore must know that they make half their content up). I mean, it beggars fucking belief.
I will have something more constructive to say at some point, but FFS.

I hope they can make their figure and make a good start. I do foresee problems when they have to seek advertising revenue, in practical and ethical terms.
Did they not foresee this? Where did they think the money was going to come from in the middle of a gut-wrenching depression? Forget all the moon turning into a spaceship and reptiles taking over people's bodies because they're holograms and the dish running away with the spoon. I naively thought that they might have some sort of plan in place.
Mainstream TV channels that are on television that have massive content have gone bust. For example:
ITV Digital was placed into administration on 27 March 2002, after the League refused to accept a £130m pay cut in its £315m deal with the ITV Sport Channel. Most subscription channels ceased broadcasting on ITV Digital on 1 May 2002. The collapse on 30 June 2002 caused financial difficulties for lower-division football clubs who had budgeted for large incomes from the television contract. The Football League sued ITV Digital's parent companies, Carlton and Granada, claiming that the firms had breached their contract in failing to deliver the guaranteed income. And so, by the end of June 2002, the service ceased. The League lost the case, with the judge ruling that it had "failed to extract sufficient written guarantees". The League then filed a negligence claim against its lawyers for failing to press for a written guarantee at the time of the deal with ITV Digital. This time it was awarded a paltry £4 in damages of the £150m it was seeking.
They all had big mainstream companies advertising with them, and they still went bust. This is the environment that you're in. Getting enough revenue to run the station and break even has to be the number one priority from day one. I'm not sure it's even possible in the current climate, unless everyone is going to work for free forever.
