Evie, to save you a long read, you're in the presence of Gilly, the former DIF mod/psychic attacker who afaik was the first person to suffer Sean's urge to spy on folk. It was verified 100% and he finally admitted it. There was a subsequent rule change giving him practical carte blanche to read anyone's PMs.

A big part of this place is trying to keep it a bit light as well. It's easy to get dragged down by endless doom and gloom.

I agree, but also they are going to be low on manpower, and the dissent on the forums itself is big enough to keep them busy right now!
