At the risk of steering the conversation off course temporarily though, although I appreciate the truth in that observation, I see those two things as being completely different.

Homosexuality is about consenting adults doing what comes naturally, and as such, I truly don't understand anyone being prejudiced against it. In fact the bible is often quoted as grounds to justify such prejudice.

Whereas the disgust that people feel towards paedophilia is based on a desire to protect innocents from physical & psychological harm.

A paedophile is a person with a disorder, but doesn't necessarily act on it. There's no law against having paedophilia. A child molester has done something against the law. Child molesters are paedophiles, but not all paedophiles are child molesters.

I think I mean that having a desire to do something sexual to young child or children as a compulsion constitutes being a paedophile, however that's not illegal, only when watching others or taking part in such crimes constitutes a crime.

So it's possible to be a passive and legal paedophile.

I think you're on to something there you know (and with that earlier post in this vein). He might well be unwittingly being manipulated. Certainly he's assisted greatly in getting 'CT'rs' a bad name with the rest of society.
