He was asking for more donations, saying that 4,000 donated via Indiegogo, but on average 80,000 watch his show. He suggested that those who watch and haven't donated should take a good look at themselves. He also said that if they don't get more money soon the station will be in trouble within days, ('not weeks - days!').
So - looks like the money nearly gone
I can't find the show in question but I did just listen to a bit of RA on youtube from last night talking about how his next guest was Peter Tatchell then in reply to something said by Bernie Ecclestone in the papers RA said that 1 in 3 people are gay!! Where does that figure come from??
I did what I thought was best at the time and when I knew better I did better.

I think that's a safe bet. I've just been looking at the sponsors page on TPV and, no disrespect to the sponsors concerned, but they have barely enough financial clout to cover a week's drinks in a London bar for the TPV crew. Sorry, delete that, by drinks I actually mean "catering".
I then looked at the TPV Advertising page on Facebook. Jamie Icke, bless him, but he hasn't a clue - and practically acknowledged as much in his 17 January post there.
Then you come to the elephant in the room - the programming. It is, shall we say, focused on a limited market. Some of the shows are toe-curlingly embarrassingly awful as well. No one with any real financial clout would want to sully their brand by associating it with TPV. Instead, poor young Jamie can only realistically hope to attract advertisers of equivalent standing to the existing sponsors. He'll only need a few million of them to create a stable platform!!
One final word of advice to Jamie & co, take some grammar lessons and develop some more effective marketing speak than this E-grade effort -

They claim audience of 2.6 million per month yet the "popular" regular Richie Allen is only getting 80,000 audience
They need £50,000 per moth minimum to operate but only from ethical advertisers and sponsors.
Sky TV took years to build up audience when it launched. BSB went bust. Russia Today (RT) went for a long time before it got real paying adverts.

It should come from the stakeholders in the business, but of course that doesn't seem to have happened and they have gone to the public for donations instead.
To be fair to David, I don't have an issue with the principle of seeking donations from supporters to get this off the ground. It was after all supposed to be a platform for their alternative views. But I do have an issue with continually coming back to be public for more. What financial risk are the stakeholders actually taking? They should share some of the pain, as it were.
Those of us who run businesses in the real world have to put our necks on the line at times, I see no reason why TPV should be any different - particularly when it seems to have morphed into a channel dominated by David and close allies.

TPVs business model from the outset has been that it's 'consumers' 'need' TPV and should therefore pay for it until/if it becomes self sustaining. That is not a very well thought out plan.
The content has either been stuff that is covered in the msm with an 'ickian bias' or is stuff not promulgated by msm because it does not have 'mass appeal'.
All this guff about 'waking people up' translates to 'persuading people to believe in what icke says'
They are also basing their business model on consumption - whether it be of goods/services they deem 'ethical' or not it comes down to suckering people into passively consuming the information they deem important whilst blasting out ads for stuff they think people should buy. It is no different a model than any other media other than the bias the give to certain points of view and subjects.
They appear to be using 'buzzwords' such as transparent, ethical and alternative - all things that people generally wish to see from business in order to suck people into believing they are somehow different and superior to msm - same thing with calling themselves 'the peoples voice'

I am very new to this outfit and whenever i have looked in all i have experienced is youtube shows relayed on their stream, and these being repeated ad infinitum.
Hardly groundbreaking or original content, and as for that Richie Allen well if that's the best they can offer then they have no chance!

I watched it on the TPV watch now page in the early hours. Thought it was a repeat, so looked for it on you tube so I could link it but couldn't find it. His little speech came right after he interviewed a lady from USA regarding the slaughter of wild mustangs and how the meat is sold for human consumption, and was right at the end of the program.
