So it is "streaming" after all and not "broadcasting" what Icke wants us to believe... what's the difference between streaming via YouTube and what they used before? Nada. What is of interest though, is the viewing numbers, far far from 6 million. On a good day, maybe 200, if.... right now, 73, the real numbers and not Daisy manufactured numbers. Before, on DI page the video would start automatically, probably many haven't even noticed that.
There are so many things wrong with TPV, that I gave up on even trying to understand what they are trying to accomplish.
Here's a few at the top of my head, funding, nepotism and lack of transparency apart:
1. Richie Allen - the nodding Churchill dog. If they intend(ed) to go world wide, many would have trouble understanding him, I certainly can't, gives me migraines just to try to focus on wtf he's on about. So, he's not by any means a radio voice and a TV face.
2. Gareth's "Banned" and WTF (it's in the name) - nuff said.
3. Icke's doodle connector/newspaper review - pulling out articles out of dailymail, calling that dot connecting?
4. The people they interview - some look like they jumped over the cuckoos nest or haven't taken their medicine.
5. Doom and more doom - like what's on MSM is not enough already. Most who watch TPV, know already about NWO, GMO's world bank etc, no solutions provided.
6. The people art.... had me scratch my head for a few minutes.
7. Windows - needs a wash, I can almost smell it through the monitor.
8. Lack of proper journalism - reporting from world's hot spots, information otherwise not reported by MSM.
9. Ego and media luvvies.
10. Poor management and utter incompetence.
"Like a lotus flower that grows out of the mud and blossoms above the muddy water surface,
we can rise above our defilements and sufferings of life" - Buddhist Value

Good points Marina so the question is WHY?

Was it set up to fail by "somebody" ????

Was it a bad business plan and Icky is just a poor business manager?

He must have lost thousands of fans since the TPV fiasco. Why would you do that to yourself unless you were either a) mentally unstable or b) you were pushed. He has spent years building up his reputation after the Terrry Wogan affair for it all to come crashing down in a matter of months.

None of it makes any sense.
I did what I thought was best at the time and when I knew better I did better. :)

Well yes he did actually. Go on youtube and read the comments from the disillusioned fans/followers whatever you want to call them. Didn't he get very large crowds at Wembley Arena in the past?

Well the actual numbers attending in Wembley were reported as being between 5,500 and 10,000, who would have paid between £50 and £60 per ticket.

Around the world, untold thousands of other people paid £15 to watch and listen to the event via a live internet broadcast and Bertie was one of those people.

Now David Icke has become a multi-millionaire through his books and presentations and I have no doubt that, also on sale at Wembley would have been copies of his books (he has sold over 150,000), DVDs at £30, T-shirts at £15 and the chance to pay to subscribe to his forum for £36 per year and it was estimated that David would pull in at least half a million pounds for this event, less the cost of hiring out Wembley for £48,000.

That's a rlatively tiny amount of fools buying icke dvds compared to say a third rate pop band.
If he wants "fans" and a reputation he ought to srep away from conspiratainment and write a decent tune.
Or go back to football.

With the greatest of respect, my friend, and I'm sure you share my reservations, I would consume anything that they say with this much salt:

Salt Mountain

My experience of people like them is that they will dismiss, resent and attack anyone that doesn't slag off people who aren't Caucasian. They get a bit confused sometimes because they like to slag off Eastern Europeans as well, but they can't really find a suitable racial angle to hang that one on.

Yes not my thing at all I was only looking for how many people bought tickets to Wembley last October which I can't seem to find.

But that's relative isn't it? Compared to how much money I make he is very wealthy.

It's like this third rate pop band of yours making ranting youtubes calling all their fans idiots and mongs, not turning up at concerts, disregarding what the fans want, making crappy old t shirts and charging for expensive ones, ripping the fans off. How long would they last? Who would buy their music, merchandise and concert tickets when their fans have all left in disgust?

So again, why would he turn his daily bread and butter against himself?

Just putting this in the right thread :emb:

The UK column is doing exactly the same as TPV in regards to streaming on Youtube pulls in 1900+ viewers a day and you can get a years membership for a quid.

Digital membership: £15 a year.
Print membership £25 a year.

the uk column fees seem really reasonable

As for tpv's paid youtube stream I actually feel that had they started in such a way or asked for startup money for a paid youtube stream it would have been far more honest

Instead they went after current supporters money in order to recruit more supporters - whether that is so they can fleece more people or raise the issues they believe people should hear to a larger audience is debatable.

In light of 3.5's post and on reflection, yeah fans probably does fit.

I'll still give it a massive  though. :)

I don't know if I've said this before, but I think I might have done...

If you're not on TV...it's a waste of fucking time! Not enough people are going to pay attention to an Internet stream. It is not going to change jack shit, and you will have a constant economic struggle. You might struggle to make it onto TV, you might struggle economically once you do, you may still have little impact. But at least you've got a chance of making an impact. It is easily possible for all the people involved in the alternative media to create a functioning TV channel, and if they fail to do so then it must be either total incompetence or lack of will. Pissing about with Internet streams is an absolute waste of time.

You can see the viewing figures for all UK TV channels here:

www.barb.co.uk/viewing/weekly-total-viewing-summary

Note that RT gets less than 500,000 viewers per week according to these figures. Let’s leave aside all of the obvious arguments against RT, I think the Abby Martin programme and Keiser Report are generally very good, and you’re going to have a tough job to doing something better. How many people watch them in the UK? Maybe 50,000 at a push...that sounds like a massive overestimation, but you certainly couldn’t claim that it was more than that. And that’s something that's on every television set in the country. People are not going to watch an Internet stream, and if you try to go down that route, you’re just one channel in a soup of millions. It’s hard enough to get people to watch you when you’re one channel out of hundreds, I just don’t see how it can possibly, conceivably work.

If you're not on TV...it's a waste of fucking time! Yes absolutely - but Info-Wars has overcome that limitation over time and a carefully grown business model
Not enough people are going to pay attention to an Internet stream. It is not going to change jack shit, and you will have a constant economic struggle. Agreed but lets think out of the box and look at revenue steams not yet used so far
You might struggle to make it onto TV, you might struggle economically once you do, you may still have little impact. But at least you've got a chance of making an impact. Yep TV should be the ultimate goal - down to a goog business plan again and it can be done IMO
It is easily possible for all the people involved in the alternative media to create a functioning TV channel, Yes, agree
and if they fail to do so then it must be either total incompetence or lack of will. TPV a prime example of that (unless it was designed to fail)
Pissing about with Internet streams is an absolute waste of time. Yes but it is the only start-up option without mega-bucks investment - I believe it can be done but needs a massive communication effort (AM viewers could help with that process)

You can see the viewing figures for all UK TV channels here:

I can see it working - but we need to get heads together to achieve it.
