Ended up on here becauase I was starting to feel that all was not right with TPV & just happened to notice someone post pulled followed by a ban. I had heard roumers that this was a regular occurence but wasn't sure what to believe. So came here to get other side of story. Signed up under a different user name to the one I had on DIF. Noticed a post on DIFF from Polpotnoodle in the Abusers and Infiltrators thread:

I also asked Sean to confirm wether this director of soft core porn worked for TPV. (Easy way to find out if this was a troll or the real deal right?)

My post was removed within minutes. A few minutes later I recieved a PM from mod called Shanticat. Telling me that yes Polpotnoodle did indeed work for TPV and my post had been removed because Sean and Polpotnoodle were not online to answer my post. I did not respond to the PM but thought it odd that my post was removed because the person I was posting to wasn't online to answer me at the moment

Came back on here and reported what had just happened. Within half an hour I found myself marked as 'Inactive' on DIF.
Current situation is I'm still inactive - will probably be banned shortly. So the cause was either my post on DIF or the fact I was traced to here - probably both. I suspect my post caused the mods to look at me more closely.

Anyone think Polpotnoodle is Sean? PolPot is certainly an apt name.

I'm disgusted by their tactics and the way they operate:

1) 2 of my posts (fairly reasonable, no insults or anything, just constructive criticism) have been removed,
2) followed by a spam notice from getagrip for discussing moderation (as if),
3) then the next day another spam notice from that control freak lobuk (when he wasn't a mod, he used to report every single post that didn't agree with him on his Mayan thread) for re-posting what was deleted previously,
4) followed by another spam notice from shanticat for trolling. Reason for spam notice? Replying to an edited post (edited AFTER I started replying) rather than "reporting" it? As if just removing the post wasn't enough.

A proper set up that was.

Then I didn't bother posting to any TPV related threads, left the spam notices expire. And I wasn't gonna post on those thread ever, again.
I join here, post for like a week or so, was still active. Then was made inactive, then banned.

The real reason: For posting here (and calling Sean a cunt)

@Marina - I'm disgusted too. Suspected but couldn't quite believe it until it happened to me. Must admit my question to Sean was deliberatly confrontational, but I was surprised that TPV would allow a soft core porn (Ok very soft core I suppose) director should be working for TPV. Maybe this had something to do with the WTF 2nd episode(I think) being to do with Porn. But whatever... I'm glad it happened to me because it answered a lot of nagging questions.

@feather My Son thought that being made inactive was the most sneaky tactic he has ever witnessed on any forum ever. And yeah the logic of Shanticat's pathetic excuse defied belief - completely illogical. I knew the REAL reason
Re: monitering this site, I once saw a mod tell a poster (who was defending a newbie on DIF) that they had thier ways and means of knowing who was an infiltrator on DIF. Now I know what they meant by that.

To those paranoid idiots (for a lack of a better word) everyone is an infiltrator, a shill and a saboteur. Through their stupidity they managed to alienate genuine caring people that at first only suggested how to make things better. Anybody who's got posts removed - no reason given - will start questioning things. Then they blame it on SZ! It's really laughable the level of arrogance and ignorance from their part.
My guess is, shanticat - being a co-admin - has the last word and his actions are non-disputable, as well as Sean's. I don't understand Alison's position, out of them all she seemed the most reasonable. Either she has no say in it, or she just goes along with anything. But to say that "we" who are here got manipulated and brainwashed is not right. Way to blame someone else for their incompetence. I said it before, they could have handled things differently, in a way they could shine as moderators and not look like fascists.
They managed to get rid off good people (and quality posters) with a good reputation overall. Yet king_triad, GMP, doctor fish etc. are still there, spewing their bullshit.

Of the 60+ people I got the message out to, I think well over half ended up joining SZ. How does that grind your traffic-hoarding-gears, Sean? And I did it without breaking any "rules or guidelines". Never once did I solicit or "poach/recruit" on-forum. Nope, I just asked for peoples email addresses and contacted them that way. That or through YouTube. So see, I never used their PM system to actively take part in the dreaded "forum wars" but still got banned. Just for having my username show up as a member at SZ.

And I'd do it all over again. There's still a few good apples left in that rotting bucket over there. Might be worth another trip over the wall. I mean, afterall, it IS a lifetime ban. May as well get all the mileage out of it as I can, eh? Don't wait up Sean, I'll just let myself in.
