Merlincunt took personal offence at my one sentence posting manner. As a result I started posting 'Second sentence' after every one sentence post. It was a couple of days before someone asked me what the 'second sentence' thing was about and then I got slapped with points for discussing moderation when in fact I was discussing a moderators personal qualm with me as the only forum rule that existed was regarding one word statements. So yes, once I'd belittled one of their number I was on borrowed time, soft twats.

What surprises me most is the complete lack of fuss from the remaining posters on the forum. No one is asking why this isnt getting fixed.

The ones locked inside were in the "I'm alright Jack" mode. Now that some of us who were previously locked out are making comment, the mods and the 'locked-in ones' are sucking up to each other and telling us to be grateful that we are back!

I mod a couple of fairly popular forums and I know none of the mods that have sock accounts. The only people I know on forums with sock accounts are webmasters who actually make changes. I'd imagine the biggest changes people like i_am make are moving threads, deleting threads, and activating new members. Certainly nothing you'd need a standard users rights to check up on.

Admin, not mods

Are they actually admins though? Or is that just a name they've given themselves? From what they say they have very little access over what any normal forum moderator would.

Well when I was a mod, I never had a sock account, and I wasn't aware of anyone else having one either. Though I wasn't aware then of some of the admin who'd been there longer having been known to use them previously. Perhaps I was just naive.

Did you ever get any freebies as a thank you for being a mod Gilly? Wembley tickets or a free book for example?
