We get all the european news here from most countries, played one after the other on a tv channel called SBS...but im not in the right place to catch it now on the TV.

But you can get some of the countries news online here...

Look on the RHS where it says Videos...they broadcast some of the euro news there from various countries daily, they show up once they have been on TV. ATM its only showing macedonia and Netherlands available as its morning and they are the only ones that have been broadcast on TV already today.

So, Greek TV is reporting it...nothing to do with the fact it was a subdued event in Athens....No, they are all over it when it kicks off in Athens

Some days ago some KNE members were posting antifascist posters outside a school in Thesaloniki, Lagadas. They were attacked by two GD members, one of them has the karate school of the town. Immidiatly, workers from the Agno milk factory which is near by arrived, disarming the two nazis from the globs they were holding, giving them the beat down aftermath. After that there was a demo in the area to make the incident known.

Yesterday, a GD fascist worker in the factory of Recycle in Crete, punched a co-worker of his, member of the union, immigrant. The union members arrived at the same time, giving him a taste of "why you dont do that shit on factories that are organised with PAME". It is interesting that this factory had a more than 100 days strike some months ago, victorious, and that this guy had repeatedly went to his co-workers grabbing a knife threating them to stop the strike. Something that e continued after the end of the strike, with the total support of the employer.

North America's largest annual anti-militarization gathering occurs this weekend in Columbus, Ga., in an event drawing thousands to protest a US military school that trains Latin American military leaders in torture techniques.

One protester, Nashua Chantal, crossed onto the military base Sunday and was arrested. The base is home to the US Army School of the Americas, renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (SOA/WHINSEC) in 2001, a training facility that has produced some of Latin America's most notorious killers and continues to be implicated in human rights abuses today.

On Sunday afternoon, Chantal was in custody of military police. He will be arraigned in federal court and faces up to six months in federal prison for civil disobedience.

The civil disobedience occurred following a massive die-in and funeral procession commemorating those killed as a result of US militarism. Protesters transformed the fence at the facility’s main gate into a memorial for victims of the graduates of the SOA/WHINSEC [PHOTO].

The US opened the school in 1946 to train forces in Latin America. Its name changed in 2001, partially in response to growing public opposition to the facility.
