This is heavy. I was vaguely aware of it but hadn't taken the time to read about it. Scarey shit.

They've been trying to introduce the same shit over here for a few years now - Jackie Smith & Jack Straw were trying to push similar laws through a few years ago iirc. Arrest without warrant - indefinite detention & entirely secret trials in connection with suspected 'terrorists' - whilst the media have been very busy bees for some time fuzzying the lines between demonstrators / rioters / terrorists. I think they were thwarted, but attempts keep being made to get them passed.

I hope there's someone here who's knowledgeable about the Lisbon Treaty, because when Brown sneaked off & signed that, there was talk of there being a 'clause' in that which allowed for the (secret, if /when the other laws are pushed through) execution of 'terrorists'.

I know I read that, but don't know enough about it to be sure if it's accurate. I seem to remember Dreamweaver talking about it.

The way out of this current cycle is to stop fooling yourself and first remove yourselves from the system in such a way that it fails to support the outside interests, a peaceful non compliance would bring down the paradigm as we know it to a sudden stop almost over night. In that time a new system could be realised, create another credit system using technology to use as a trading medium, all old currency would need to be burned out of the paradigm. As we are we are spending it out of the paradigm, each new printing only produces half of what was collected.

Troops would down tools and come home to their loved ones without having to ask them, fighting the evil with evil produces evil and your back to square one.

After hacking up government websites last week, and the week before, Anonymous has pulled off another hack to push their agenda of reforming computer crime law in the wake of Aaron Swartz's suicide. This time, they've leaked names, addresses, and other information about over 4,000 bank executives. And they did it all on a government site.

The leak—which is still posted on the official Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center website as of this writing—is another another arm of Operation Last Resort. Until now the project has involved plenty of threats but no actual leaks. The leaked info includes titles, addresses, phone numbers, emails, ID numbers, and hashed passwords of the affected bank executives, and while that may seem sort of tangentially related to computer crime reform, that's how Anonymous has been spinning it.

So far there's been no official response to the leak from the parties affected, but there's little reason to believe that all that information is fabricated. Anonymous has been on a pretty successful run of defacing government websites, and it looks like it isn't going to end any time soon. Sure, this hack isn't quite as happy-go-lucky as their last, but it's definitely a pretty serious accomplishment. And you can bet this isn't the end of it. [ZDNet]

I'm liking this - people hitting back at the oppressors & all that. Just still not sure if it's orchestrated by the enemy as an excuse to introduce more control over the internet or not. I wish I could be sure it's not.

Yes i cant help but notice the roman wreath symbolism with the anonymous stuff app, its something ive observed for a while now. I even believe the wreath is a stylised 'horus' (my personal opinion) much like the US great seal, UN logo, freemasonic logo, knights of malta and many more.

lets not forget what confucious said - "signs and symbols rule the world, not words nor laws."

I can see the benefit in getting people to follow this and hope for a saviour if you will, its a bit like having another political party to pin your hopes on... "we're gonna get em" etc etc. This is conjecture on my part, but i want to have an open mind about it.

So, Time Warner, eh? Funny how every time I feel "off" about something( usually "conspiracy pop culture" oriented); I always see "Time Warner" somewhere in the mix. Time Warner owns Tru tv which airs Conspiracy Theory w Jesse Ventura. He's such a bad actor.

I hate those Guy Fawkes masks, too. I can't take a movement seriously that borrows imagery popularized by Hollywood. If you want to represent Anonymous then how bout a plain white mask or a paper bag. Remember, Time Warner gets a kick back for every mask sold.

I've had a real hard time buying any of this "Anonymous" business.

It just seems to be too "out in the open", ya know? What real hackers would allow themselves to be pinned down in any fashion? Interviewed on CNN? Do y'all remember that?? And I don't know the exact in's-n-out's of it all but they come across like "We're Anonymous, follow us on Twitter, Like us on Facebook and join the movement!!" No real fucking hackers are gonna be all whored out like that. Not saying that they do in fact have an official Twitter or FB but their message is only a few words away from sounding like that.

If they were fuh rillz they'd be loosing some serious shit. The kinda shit that would make Jimmy Saville look like a cub scout. Nomsayin'?? They're telling us that they're redirecting the sea but they're going to the waters edge with thimbles. I remain yet to be convinced.
