it's the wrong sort of rain!

I neverly usually watch the news but just caught it and there is an 'expert' on it saying 'It's the wrong sort of rain'

So England will still have a drought because the rain is the 'wrong sort of rain' :axe:

"Wrong sort of rain!"

I'm no meterologist, but even I can see that sounds daft! They might mean though that the rain we're getting is just too heavy. The ground is so hard and dry at the moment that none of it can sink in, especially if it's really heavy - it just leads to flash-flooding!

I would suggest that tptb/MSM/meteorologists, etc. are absolutely full of crap.

Their bullshit is for the most part amusing, often even funny, but sometimes it bugs me.

The wrong sort of rain? Is it not wet enough? Not watery enough? :chuckle:

England will still have a drought because that's just how it's been planned. This has little to do with rainfall and A LOT to do with enforced metering and price hikes.

We couldn't let a minor detail like the actual weather get in the way, could we?

Stop asking questions, you 'orrible lot.

The circus is full and the clowns are handing out the free bread to the public.

What the so called experts forget to tell us is the highlands have been well gryped/ drained so when it rains on top the water simply runs off like Ben Johnson on steroids.

A man made dissaster waiting to happen again and again.

Another fishy moment :gleek:

In Somerset a couple of weeks ago there was heavy flooding. At the same time the water board were stating that ground water levels were low and they may have to go through with a pipe ban. Now as I understand it, the floods were there because the ground could not take up any more water.......

When the correct rain falls, we will be the first to tell you. Until then follow these instructions on hosepipe bans, water conservation, and increased metering charges during the drought. This is the end of the government broadcast. :killinme:

If you are receiving an allowance of rain above your quota, you will be liable for increased water charges. Please pay online ;)

Sure your spuds will love the extra manna from heaven.
