“After a 29-month cover-up, the Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) is now calling for international help and has all but admitted Fukushima's radiation leaks are spiraling out of control. There's no explanation of why the sea is boiling btw, I wouldn't have expected that to be linked, if it is then there would have to surely be hellish amounts of radiation to cause that.

The cores further back inland and supposedly stopped melting ages ago, if that pic is for real and not just sea spray or similar then....nah can't go there, that just can't be for real.

If its for real then it means the core has melted through bedrock and at an angle under the ocean and is ridiculously hot, so hot its boiling the sea far above it. Thats just crazy, real china syndrome stuff.

I used to follow Arnie Gunderson way back on his website when it first happened....this man really knew his stuff.....he said it was f***ed then.
Don't want to scare anyone but the radiation leaks from Fukushima have alredy circumvented the northern hemisphere about 6 months after the disaster.
I started taking kelp tabletsdaily almost immediately this disaster happened.

Its worth bearing in mind that radiation from contaminated water leaks alone will not boil the sea and we've only the one very smudgy pic to go on.

Don't get me wrong, I know all too well its a major disaster but the sea boiling part makes no sense.

Well I'd basically expect something akin to chernobyl.
The core melts alright and stays molten for quite some time but it doesn't go right through the earth to china as per the china syndrome mention, it cools and solidifys.

What we have definitely had is expulsion of nasty radioactive gases with the initial explosion and contamination of the water table by the core along with contaminated coolant water thats been collected into vat's which were left standing on site for ages and then leaked all over the bloody place.
Caesium iirc will not drop to the bottom of the sea but will get washed away in suspension for quite some distance and will wreck havoc on the fishing, certainly fishing is over for japan for quite some time, I wouldn't f*cking touch sushi right now...

What worries me the most IMHO is simply that they could have another big earthquake and all the containers there could spill out in one go.
They have to be safely disposed of somehow with international joint effort, they simply can't afford the engineering job thats needed, its vast in scale and will cost literally trillions IMHO.

This misty looking picture is doing the rounds but I can't see any other supporting evidence apart from the fact people have taken the tagline of 'the sea is boiling' as gospel.... if it is true then that is indeed very very worrying.
