Hi, I'm on my laptop at home and the modem lights are acting funky. The internet light goes out sometimes and the DSL light will flicker, then DSL light goes solid again and internet light comes back. I'll hang out as long as the connectivity gods permit.

Hope the tech can figure out the issue with not being able to go wireless off my parent's connection tomorrow (Saturday) because I really enjoy all your company.....and reading about interesting things, too.

Are you using the new chatroom software? You can access it here for desktops sanctumzone.co.uk/desktop-chat.html or here for netbooks sanctumzone.co.uk/netbook-chat.html and this one gives a popup window sanctumzone.co.uk/popup-chat.html .

When you land on the page there are some instructions letting you know how to access the chat area. There should be a tool bar in the lower right of the page. Click on FriendsCenter to expand the tool bar if it is minimised then click on OpenChatCenter to enter the chat lobby. The text should go green with a green dot indicating that you have joined the chat session successfully. The system will automatically sign you in provided you're logged into the site.

It's a connectivity issue not a chatroom software issue, I'm afraid. Just now as I clicked reply for this thread, the internet light went out and the DSL light began flickering on the modem, then DSL light went solid again and the internet light lit up again. Glad I got it back to answer you.

I bid my friends good night. I will take my laptop to the tech to hopefully sort out the wireless issue on Saturday.

Should I not be present afterward, it may be due to the tech needing to keep my unit, or lack of connectivity.

Which is the chat everyone uses? Blast chat or Fast chat? I just went into Fast chat on my PS3, and it seemed to work, but I could only have split screen.

Was it split screen as soon as you went in there? Im no Ps3 expert so it could be that which is causing it, but it shouldnt be split screen unless you select it....press Rooms/settings button and you can change the view.

again im not sure if you can access all the functionality with a ps3.

It wasn't split screen when I went on there, but I couldn't do anything, type a message etc. so I clicked the maximize icon and then it went to split screen and that's the default option I think. I tried to change it but this infernal PS3 wouldn't let me

I'll go in there at some point novum and see if I can have some kind of workable chat. I could type messages so it seemingly works.

I guess dont press the maximise icon then

the chat box doesnt get any bigger anyway, the size it is when you enter is as large as it gets.

If it is, the netbook link will give you a smaller chat window.
