One of the things I miss is British comedy and have seen Peep Show, QI and Would I lie to you more times than is healthy now so would appreciate a heads up on any new series and/or new shows in this thread.

TIA

:)

If you're not adverse to a Scottish show I would recommend Limmy's Show

Not seriously, that'd defeat the point of comedy :P

Him & Her is quite good.

Mrs Brown's Boys (although I'm beginning to dislike that because so many others apparently like it. I'm funny like that).

Getting On was very funny.

Not a huge fan of Jo Brand, loved her in that!

I've heard of the other 2, heard better things about Him & Her though tbh.

Keep 'em coming!

Aww...it's not that bad. It isn't for example, as bad as this:

Talk about "dumbing down" TV. :rl:

Derek

Work of genius this stuff. Will make you laugh and cry at the same time. It doesn't matter either if you like Gervais or not because his role in this is brilliant.

Short trailer and some links to the second series but I recommend finding the first series

EDIT... here's the pilot episode.

There's alot more going on than first appears to the eye actually :D

I suppose it boils down to whether it clicks with you or not. If it does, it's superb ;)

I like Gervais, will certainly give it a go.

15 storeys high is brilliant, but I'm a big fan of Sean Lock so a recap might be in order!

Really? I thought Derek was poor both in production and writing. Its the Karl Pilkington show with assorted poorly formed fuckups hiding in a riterment home, maybe i missed something but very disappointed with it..........

No seriously there was more filling to that show than biscuit and episode 2 I think it was has very little filling and no biscuit at all. just lots of long lingering shots of the residents definately what I would call a filler episode like a crap song put on an album with one hit on it just to make the numbers up. Disappointing stuff and always a big clue of lack of content is when they include a making of episode, my guess is Gervais struggled to write material for 8 episodes and thats why theres so much filling sorry to be critical again lol. I suspect Merch will be called in to help write season 2 and why Channel 4 commissioned another season of this I dont know somebody at ch4 must be star struck or dazed at 1.4 million viewers having Ricky Gervias on there channel! Mind you Ch4 should be applauded for getting out the reality TV game so theres hope there.

Nighty Night.

One of the best pieces of British comedy I've seen. Will be back with links when I can find them.

I don't watch telly much, just because I don't get round to it, so I'm not even sure if this programme's a new one or not, but I'd not seen it before. My lad asked me to sit & watch a programme he'd recorded other day. It was 'Come Fly With Me' - a 'mockumentary' about an airport, with David Walliams & Matt Lucas playing all the different characters. It's moronic, but we were both cracking up all the way through.

That has got to be one of the funniest comedies ever. Julia Davies is a funny lady. :chuckle:

I also liked Psychoville and the latest one with Vic Reeves - Hebburn.
