Not all of them are new, but here's a few I've liked over time.. (In no particular order) How not to live your life, nighty night, Sarah Millican television program, cuckoo, green wing, black books, human remains, brasseye, the day today, thick of it, knowing me knowing you, peep show... And that's about it off the top of my memory.

'The trailer park boys' is so worth a watch too (it's not English, but it's on youtube) and you will quickly find out where my avatar come from

I'm on episode 2 of Mad Dogs, you were right, it's not a comedy!

Peril, where in the 0161 are you?

Hi mate, like I said in another post, I'm tethering on the 3 network and I'm fairly certain that it will always refer you to Bolton when doing a whois or something along that lines.

I'm in the 0191.

i just googled 0191, didn't think that was a Bolton code.

So, Berwick, English or Scottish?

I should have said that when you google (or whois) my ISP, you will hit Bolton, which I'm quite certain is 0161.

I'm in Newcastle. Although 'born and bred' in County Durham, Langley Park to be precise (If you know the area..?)

Not at all mate. Was born and grew up in Langley Park, which is County Durham - 20 miles from Newcastle.

We do have a similar accent, but I'm not a 'Geordie', and a good few miles from Berwick.

There's a new sitcom out this year co written by Graham Linehan (Father Ted and IT crowd writer) and Steve Delaney who will be playing the main character Count Arthur Strong.

It started out as a comedy on radio and is moving to TV.

I used to listen to Count Arthur and found him very amusing.

Quote-
"Count Arthur Strong is a former variety star living in the North of England. The Count, now in his old age, has delusions of grandeur. He has selective memory loss, never hearing what he doesn't want to and malapropism-itis, which result in his confusing anyone he happens to be talking to and even confusing himself. However, he more often than not blames the people he is talking to for causing the confusion in the first place. On the few occasions Count Arthur does realise that it he who is in the wrong, he tries to lie out of his predicament, often unsuccessfully."

I was suprised at first to read it was moving to TV as I didn't think it would cross over well but with a writer like Linehan on board should be a winner.

Not exactly comedy but extremely British and will make you laugh throughout. Dark dry humour with a helping of all sorts thrown in. I reckon everyone here will enjoy this.

It's fuckin ace :psketti:

Again not a comedy. Far from it. Disturbing in parts. But you may like it... it's got a good story that you'll be quite familiar with throughout.

A few others that I've watched and loved.. Not totally sure if they've been mentioned already, but I'll post them up anyway, and provide links if I can.

How not to live your life
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3

Green Wing - Channel Four Youtube Channel

Episodes - IMDB
(It's available on torrent, but there's not many web links. Well worth a watch)

Inbetweeners
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3

And some more that might spring to mind later..

Cuckoo is probably a show that not too many people have heard of, but I thought it was hilarious. Greg Davies is such a natural comedy actor. well worth a watch
