When it comes to dishonesty though politicians and bankers would have to have a nation state unto themselves for comparison.

I don't see how it makes them any more or less honest than anyone anywhere else.
The US if anything has far more immigration and police state laws than the UK and arguably higher taxation given that you get nothing in return for it.
The Swedish pay far more taxes than the Brits do, that said they get far more in return for their taxes, does this make them less/more honest?
Do we have honesty statistics for every nation on Earth now and an honesty agency keeping the stats? lol :p
