Police were called when a man argued with an actor dressed in a penis costume and a woman dressed as a vagina.

The walking genitals were part of the Nomadic Academy of Fools, a theatre group in town to promote their show at the Assembly Rooms.But a passer by took exception to their outfits. Were they anatomically incorrect? People can be such pedants.

Chris Murray (Penis) says:

“He started shouting at me, saying it was disgusting and children could see us. I could tell by his body language that he was really angry.”

Was he dressed as a clenched fist or a pulsating vein?

“I tried to calm him down, I wasn’t looking for a fight; but he grabbed my hat, tore it off and chucked it on the pavement.”

Hat? Surely helmet?

Police were called. Joanne Tremarco (Vagina) adds:

“Then he [police officer] explained that I needed to take the costume off, or I could be arrested. They also removed flyers for the plays we were performing – Women who wank and The Penis Monologues.”

Just another afternoon in rural England…
