I looooooove a good curry, as long as it's not too hot lol! My OH makes an excellent one involving chicken and ground almonds. (Hubby does most of the cooking in our house - I'm afraid I can't cook for toffee :emb: !).

On the extremely rare occasions I'm in an Indian restaurant I generally have a biryani.

Has anybody read Vanity Fair by William Thackeray (set during the Napoleonic Wars)? I read it in the Sixth Form, aeons ago. I only ask because there's a really funny scene in it where the heroine (or rather anti-heroine!) Becky Sharp is served Indian food for the first time, including a dish of chillis which she's never seen before. There's a chap at the meal she's keen to impress so she picks one up saying "How fresh and green they look!", then chows it down - with predictable results! Well, I laughed anyway! :chuckle:

I'm sounding bonkers again, aren't I?! :sorry:

Oh ffs, not more curry talk!

I was back over in the UK in February and stayed at a mates house in Rusholme, I clearly didn't eat enough to see me through. Not sure what my favourite is to be honest, depends on the mood, however it does have to make me break a sweat.

Oh and Nepalese food is like the most refined curry ever! If I have an Indian it's "slumming it" compared to a Nepalese.

Rusholme! literally just round the corner from me ;)

Living near the world-famous curry mile is one of the things that makes life in manchester worth living.

Your opinion...best curry house in Rusholme (you ate at)?
