We've had the ever popular yummy biscwit thread, now it's time for the yummy chocolate bar thread :D

What's your favourite choc bar? Your all time fav? Your current fav?

Right now, my favourite has to be the Peanut Butter Kit Kat Chunky...yum! :yup:

Peanut butter kitkat sounds fab, irrie - I've not tried that one, but feel I must do so soon! :D

I like most chocolate bars, apart from Bounty and liqueur (sp?!) chocs! My faves include Creme Eggs, Cadbury's Caramel and Mars Bars (although I can't get through a whole one these days!).

PB Kit Kat Chunkies are lovely Mandy! :yup: Well I think so.
They disappeared a while back, much to me and my bro's consternation :noway: But they had a competition and released three different bars; Peanut Butter, A white chocolate one (I think) and a double chocolate one. me and my bro were on teneterhooks for months! :O After what seemed like forever, the results came back...Peanut Butter was voted the winner! :cheer:

I love Creme Eggs as well, and Mars bars. I think I prefer Marathons (Snickers ) over Marsies though. Caramels are lovely. Bounties...I like them well enough, but I end up chewing the last bits of coconut for ages :D

Hmm, chocolate

My favourite is the Green & Blacks milk chocolate with butterscotch pieces closely followed by their Mayan Gold chocolate with orange and spices. I love cream eggs and Boosts too.

I had some awesome 80% dark chocolate with chilli a while ago.

The best chocolate I ever had was milk chocolate flavoured with cardamom. I have never seen it anywhere since then. Actually, I'm going to Google it. It sounds minging but it is absolutely gorgeous!

When I was in Japan, I used to buy chocolate from the 7 / 11 called Crunky. A box with little bars of chocolate in it, with a gold wrapper. I stopped at the shop every night after helping out in the factory to get my Crunky fix :D II used to eat them on the half hour walk home. It was uphill all the way so it was much needed energy...that's my excuse anyway :P :D

Ooh! That looks nice. I like the ones where you get little bars and stuff. It makes it a bit more special :)

Found some cardamom milk chocolate

That Green & Blacks with butterscotch bits sounds lovely :yup: In fact it all sounds lovely :D
Not sure about the Chilli though... What is cardamom Lesley?

I used to love Boosts, but now I find them a bit too rich.

Green and Blacks do a dark chocolate with chunks of dried cherry, that's also pretty good. It is all lush tbh.

Lidle also do some really good chocolate. I love white chocolate and the do a big bar of it with freeze dried bits of strawberry. They had some chocolate coated coffee beans too    :inluv:

Some of their chocolate is really good quality and cheap. I have to ban myself from their otherwise I will end up getting porky again :chuckle:

The chilli chocolate was really good!

Cardamom is an Indian spice, little green pods. www.augustayurveda.com/showarticles1.asp?id=468

It can be used in savoury things I think, but it's used to flavour Indian sweets and lassi. It's a lush flavour and chewing the pods gives you a mild narcotic effect ;)

Usually I'm a typical bloke and just cram it down my neck, when mrs oioioi recently brought me my first bar back from the UK I took a nibble to try, unsure of the concept of salty chocolate, then ended up nibbling all of it in order to savour it. I've never eaten anything to savour it just to devour!

:coffee: Now we're talking about something I know what it is! :D
Snickers, milky way, 3 musketeers... and I do believe it is by Dove, it is a chocolate bar that is made up of little squares with a filling inside them (caramel, raspberry, etc...).
I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone elses blood

I just recently came across Green & Blacks White Chocolate with Madagascar Vanilla- let me just tell you, it makes the most heavenly vanilla butter cream for cupcakes or whatever! :heartb:
I haven't tried the one with butterscotch but it sounds wonderful! I hope I can find it somewhere...*drool* :)

Is it just me, or are the Cadbury Eggs not as good as years before? I was all excited to get one a couple of years back and the label called it a "fondant filling". I'd never even heard of fondant until recent years when it became a popular cake "frosting"(tastes like sweetened Play-Doh to me*ick*). It wasn't like that when I was a child :hmm: ; it was all running and gooey-messy-sugary-deliciousness. :D Anyway, when I bit into the modern egg, it wasn't runny at all and had a chemical after taste. I actually emailed Cadbury to complain :emb: !LOL! They responded saying that weather and soil conditions can effect the taste of the product! :killinme: Okay, so they grow Cadbury Eggs in a fucking garden?!?

Cadbury has already lied about the size! :pissed:

I agree that Creme Eggs are smaller than they were! However, that's OK by me as I probably couldn't finish one these days if they were any bigger! :D
