Well, right now sweets are on my mind, especially liquorice related products.



Liquorice and sherbet, it doesn't get much better than this.

Liquorice Tablets.



I used to always get a quarter of these and eat them when I was bunking off school. They produced tonnes of saliva, I used to pretend it was chewing tobbaco and spit out sometimes

Aniseed balls was my thing I used to buy in quarters for school. I must have eaten millions over the course of my education

Not my gran (I haven't got one of those ) My sister bought me them, and yes they're lovely!

Four of my favourite things Liquorice is the top of the list and although I have heard of people overdosing on it I have never managed it, and I have eaten serious amounts of the stuff. Dutch Liquorice is simply the best bar none.

Milk Gums hummmm hummmmmmmm But they have to be Barratt's


A nice combo is Barratt milk gums and any liquorice of a similar texture eaten at the same time.

And topped of with a quarter of the fabulous Aniseed balls or Cough candy


I make my own Sherbet and it's dead easy once you get the amounts right. Citric Acid, Baking Soda and Caster Sugar. Recipes

Mmm - sweeties...I'm old enough to remember the halfpenny-chews you were able to buy once upon a time: Blackjacks, for example, and Rhubarb-and-custards!

This has reminded me that I have 2 Cadbury's Creme Eggs left from Easter and now I have them on my mind, lol!

Also on my mind is the thought that I really need a bit more sleep, as due to one thing and another I had a bad night last night, gah!

You can still get Blackjacks. They come in (slightly bigger sized) chews than the old ones & are 2p each round here

& they do em in 'bar' form too...
