A few that have stuck with me.

Money is just a tool.
Moderation in thought and action
Measure and observe your surroundings
Have something to show for the money you spend not just frivolous indulgence.
No one loves your dog like you do.
One sided love in a relationship is actually cruelty.

The word wise may be debatable in different peoples minds, but for the lack of a better expression, I picked wise in the thread title

I know it's vulgar to quote yourself, but if this came from my higher self then maybe it's okay. Anyway, I was quite impressed when my fingers typed the following. Thank you to the four fingers involved.
