What I think this is about is reforming capitalism, it's like Green Capitalism, or Capitalism with a human face, it's basically the measures of the capitalist system to avoid catastrophe and collapse, Agenda 21 and other UN legislation is reformist policy making as opposed to revolutionary policy making.

So on that point I don't like it, it probably won't go far enough, and it will be dictated from above, as opposed to people en masse realizing these changes are required, and making them without the direction of the bureaucratic class, unfortunately due to general apathy and alienation people aren't contemplating these questions independently, let alone addressing them.

Yes well this is where communities currently fail, each is isolated from his neighbour so preoccupied with providing christmas presents for their kids, they care not who's house is without heating over the holidays, the way houses and communities are designed actually make people more dependent on gas and fuel pipelines, electricity, water pipes and so on, it would be cheaper for me to live in the woods, but it's pretty cheap and easy to live in a council place at the moment.

Research A-Frame house building, wattle and daub, benders and tell me these are not sustainable environmentally and pleasant ways of sheltering people?

We needn't wait for politicians to legislate realistically, we could take the initiative into our own hands, the Amish get by without Money, but they also have the potential to make enough to secure their community with the abundance of commodities they produce, the Amish, many tribal and indigenous communities will still be living the same natural way long after Agenda 21 is dust.

I feel prepared for anything these bizarre times are going to throw with a basic awareness of foraging, agriculture, hunting and shelter making, I feel with around 20 motivated people, enough land and correct planning, enough food and shelter could be provided for at least 100 others, sustainably, organically and above all lovingly.

Gue­varista, I completely see where you are coming from. It's much easier for people on higher incomes to transition to this sort of lifestyle. I helped out at a straw bale building workshop a couple of years ago. The people had a decent amount of land and could easily afford the raw materials.

People I met were either rich in time, or money, usually both and I think that most poor people are just preoccupied with earning a crust and living. I think politicians should help people to remedy this situation tbh. Sorry, but I don't really have any solutions to these economic and social barriers, it's just an observation on my part really.
