Hello to familiar names and unfamiliar names. I used to post on the DI Forum a while ago and went inactive, but continued to read, and read, and read about various topics that I find (incredibly) interesting, but bore the back teeth of most people I know. Eyes glaze over, Chins drop on to chests, people fall over in the street. I don't care anymore.

Even though this forum seems to be very silly in places I decided to join anyway and I'll try to be as boring as possible. I will inevitably succeed.

As soon as i saw your name, i thought, yay! excellent, you haven't been around for ages! ( you probably have forgotten by now, but you are on my friends list in that other place) lol.
Just about all of the nicest folks are here, i reckon.
You aint boring... in here, you can relax and have fun. No need to get too serious unless u wanna. I am , so far, treating this place like a relaxation retreat.. it is so nice not to be bothered by yukky trolls, so it is pretty laid back and very friendly!
( I would like to have given you a good "smite" but i just used it on good ol' steevo. :mad: :rofl:

Thanks Curtaincat! I noticed that there are quite a few of my favourites from my time on the DI forum. I haven't followed it too closely since I left.

My post was meant partly ironically, but really only in part. Blank stares, glazed eyes and raised eyebrows are par for the course with most people and the boredom is often mutual. I hope I can think of a few topics to attract the interest of a few like minded souls here. I've got some ideas and I'm thinking how best to present them. One problem for me is that I read so much and move rapidly from topic to topic, which is fine for me, but makes it difficult to share with others.

Having said that, my first priority continues to be for me to continue working my way through the various labyrinths before the world goes pop and time ends.

Hi Andy, Steevo, Boots: :cheers: It's amazing how many familiar names are here.

I've been inactive on the DI Forum since I quit so I haven't logged on there for a couple of years now. The DI Forum is water that went under my bridge a long time ago and I occasionally check Today's News but that's about it. Stompk has a very interesting thread about US cities going bankrupt, but other than that I don't bother much.

I'm hoping I can discipline myself here and not get involved in too many threads. Wishful thinking perhaps, but I've got some stuff I feel is important to share and who knows how fast things might start to move this year. I'm hoping that it will stay quiet, but my spidey sense tells me that weird stuff awaits.
