HI there, I guess it's only fair that I introduce myself a little, seeing as I'm registered to the board.

I was a member of the DIF for a while but ended up leaving on my own accord without any fuss or hassle. I recognise a few names here from over there, but I was pretty much under the radar and would be surprised if anyone remembers me. (I used a different alias to this one anyway.)

I did end up posting on a few other related forums for a while too, but am mostly interested the mechanics of modern day conspiracy theory/cults/mythology and their roots, and not really caught up in conspiracy theories themselves. Although, to my shame, I did end up becoming embroiled in forum politics and so decided to give it a rest for a while.

I found this place a while back but then kinda forgot about it.. But then I've met someone recently who was very interested in what I had to say, especially regarding conspiracy theorists, modern day cults and mythology, and they've kinda convinced me to take up my research again and possibly begin to publish it. So... I've decided to join up to a few forums and see what there is to be gleaned from peoples experiences. I'll obviously ask for permission from the person if and when the time comes.

I've heard a few people of late stating they're not really interested in the theories, so much as wishing to study the theorists, like they're some strange, little known species. I don't feel very kindly towards that, tbh, but am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, in the hopeful anticipation that you simply have a genuine interest, unlike the ones who display an arrogant disdain (and worse).
