Welcome aboard gris :)
Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

Welcome Griswald :)
`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked. Oh, you can't help that,'said the Cat:`we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."`How do you know I'm mad?'said Alice.`You must be,'said the Cat,`or you wouldn't have come here.'

but how could they know what was in the pm?
They've stated clearly that they do not read regular members private messages.

messages arent encrypted in vbulletin, which is what the DIF is, unlike here.

so the webmaster who has server access can read them in mySQL

id say theres only 1 person there with server access...he can look in there and the rest of the mods wouldnt even have a clue.

and they have the plug in there to allow mods and admin to read them also. so 2 ways to read them.

It's not even cleverly concealed eh?

If what they claim is true, (stop giggling at the back!), the only reason a pm should be read by a mod is because a recipient has reported it.

You can't report what was intercepted and deleted before you received it.
Which also makes me think they must be buffering them in order to filter content before forwarding it to the intended recipient.
