I'm a hetero male, so to me, that would imply penetrating a woman in some way while she was asleep. I think that's really invasive. I wouldn't do and have never done it. either to a sleeping partner or a date passed out from drink or drugs. On the flipside, I've had partners perform what would be considered a sex act on me while I was asleep to wake me up, and I didn't mind a bit. The other way around is an invasive thing without consent, IMO. I can't speak for Assange.

I've read that even the complainant is unhappy at the way she was railroaded by the police in their determination to have something to pin on him.

She was so unhappy Gilly that when she learnt half way through the interview that JA had been arrested in absentia, she refused to continue the interview and would not verify and sign the interview off.......

All she was seeking from the police was advice on whether she was legally entitled to demand JA had an HIV test..
She did not consider that she had suffered rape or any other crime it seems...
