All the living things are safely outside, along with your box of photos....
You have about 2 minutes before the roof crashes in guaranteeing that anything not saved will end up as ash.

What do you grab? :O :nilly:

Reckon I'd double back for my old Eko Ranger VI acoustic guitar.

Built like a tank, nothing fancy, worth next-to-nothing, never goes all diva on you but much more importantly, it's just 'my*' guitar.
*Instrument players will know what I mean, 'cause we're soft/daft like that.

p.s.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Assuming my dog will be hauling ass out of the house with me; my rifle...er, wait maybe my records. Only cuz a couple of them might be worth something and I could sell them and buy another gun.

Honestly, though, I'd probably be panicking and just trying to get me and my dog out.

I wouldn't be risking going back in for anything if all my family & pets are out. Everything else I have is replaceable.I'd be off to see if my neighbours had evacuated before the fire spread.

I'd take the Rifle K-Bone, if tshtf after you've escaped the house, those records won't be of much use :chuckle:

Lock and load! (Is that a rifle term? I don't really know about guins and that) :chuckle:

I'm no expert on terminology and such. I just know how to aim & fire! I'm a damn good shot, too! Not to be boastful or anything... :emb:

Your dog is safe outside, (with it's carefully packed case of chewtoys and tennis balls), rolling it's eyes at it's indecisive mistress.

Nah - they're sweet little OAP's who can't move fast. Though Harry, next door, has let slip that he covets my bread oven 'cause my loaves are bigger than his - and he could only have seen that if he was standing on his dustbin at the time. :chuckle:

The insurance will cover the stuff regardless of whether it's burned or been purloined by Bonnie & Clyde next door.

I'd be wary if I were them.
K-bone is wandering about with her dog and a rifle looking for somewhere to live apparently.

Then it would be my rifle! Actually, I could sling my rifle on my shoulder(it has this nifty retractable strap) and grab something else! Agh! I suck at decisions! I'll probably die of smoke inhalation while arguing with myself over whether to grab the vinyls or something sentimental like photographs!

All living things and photos are outside already... hm... some of my sons toys (stuffed baby doll my mom made for him when he was born for one, his blanket for two...)... a few other trinkets that hold very special attachment to them, cash, bills (scratch that, the bills can burn)... um... oh, my sword and knives, and bat which to use when knocking the heads of the fire department together (our local fire department is 4 miles away, takes them 15-20 minutes to get here ).
I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone elses blood
and I have no problem with going out the same way

I have a habit of starting fires in the backyard :emb: (and there just happens to be 2 cops and a sheriff in the community who have called it in before) and they dispatch the ambulances too (which is in the same building basically)...which we've had to...use...before :umm:

PS in my own defense of starting fires in the backyard, I keep them controlled whereas the fire department loose control of their "controlled" burns ALL the time... but apparently that isn't an excuse and they don't wanna talk about it...
