Mike Huckabee is a neo con and a fundie.

He said "I almost wish that there would be a simultaneous telecast and all Americans would be forced, at gunpoint, to listen to every David Barton message," in praise of David Barton the far-right televangelist and a Christian Reconstructionist group that promotes the idea that biblical law should be instituted in America.

Huckabee might be a Baptist Minister but he apprently has never studied theology: he claimed that Jesus is regarded in Islam as an "infidel", when in fact Jesus is instead considered a prophet in Islam.

In fact Huckabee is not representative of the religious community apart from that particular strain found in certain parts of America, and I would suggest he is performing his role as a FOX News presenter, by using a smoke screen of "religious" rhetoric on behalf of the National Rifle Association (of which he is a member).

Setting him up as a spokesperson of the religious POV, even an American one, is absurd.

Yeah its the same thing with the jehovas witness crowd.

The daft thing is I can appreciate 'some' worry over standard healthcare practices but religion has nothing to do with that in my case.
A prime example would be fluoride or mercury in the dental business.

So much stuff contains chemicals linked to all kinds of disease and deficiencies it's scandalous... and a wonder we're not all dead or mutated.
