Imo it says we like to moan about what others do wrong but arent able to pool our resources to do right...even on a theoretical question...

Exactly...

And that's why the wonderful world of conspiracy theory is hard to take seriously...

If the majority of humans really wanted a more workable model for means of exchange it would already be done.

I think we all realize there won't be a giant overhaul of the system so it will take humans to be good consumers.

People can slowly change the system day by day and piece by piece as humans keep gaining technology.

It really just comes down to poor people standing up for themselves and putting pressure on rich people.

@oi. I agree entirely about it all working together. The way we interact is fucked up. Imo, this thread has become a case in point. The thread started as an experiment in trying a new way of interacting with an aim to pooling resources, namely our ideas. I'm trying to stimulate the very thing you're talking about in the safe environment of an internet forum. And it aint happening is it.

Woah! I stimulated you by ignoring your OP guidelines, you stimulated me to step back into a thread I stepped out of. How is this not us pooling our ideas?

Firstly, this thread isnt a conspiracy thread :)

I see little evidence that we've acheived anything like a critical mass of understanding about what money even is, the internet has certainly moved things on apace but in historical terms, it's very early days. When a critical mass has been reached then your comment would have weight. If that informed public chose not to want a working means of exchange then thatd be their choice i guess...

A giant overhaul certainly aint gonna happen from the top down is it. Whilst we are at the state i just outlined then it aint happening bottom up either. Perhaps it could happen with a multi warhead approach from the top mid and bottom simultaneously though :dunno:

Agreed, every moment of every day we are a potential and kinetic force for real change. If we choose to be.

There's more to it than poor people rising up imo.

Life experience.
Bear in mind that intelligence is something separate from education. It can be honed by education and practise perhaps.

My reply was not about RA's intelligence btw. It was about the context and LIMITATION of his reply.
RA has done nothing more than answer within the context of dubs earlier post which was about compromise but I was discussing the dilemma of just such a thing with dubs.

You see, if you had a thorough education you would know that there already was a very workable monetary system in place long before the one we use today...in fact just about ALL of the previous ones were far more viable than the one we use today :D

The amusement can only be had ofc if such a thing immediately comes to mind when someone says it and you personally know and remember the facts.

Our monetary system today has failure built in by design. Money is now debt, it is not actually in any sense of the word a 'monetary system'. It is a debt system.

People are either unaware of this fact or have forgotten or perhaps just don't give a shit :)
The result is that we now actually value debt :D

You have to laugh, if you don't you'd go nuts. People don't understand but there are literally millions of people who every day talk complete and utter bollocks and they don't even realise it :)

Brilliant isn't it?

IMHO its not so much about usurping the rich or replacing them with a new crowd but simply about doing the unexpected.
Thats difficult to do when they have been planning for everything we can think of :D

I understand this is not a "conspiracy thread" it was just a general statement for anything being discussed on a forum like this or DIF. As the next generation grows up in this new age computers and technology the critical mass you speak of dubs could be reached in 5-10 years. I understand that sounds like a long time to anyone over the age of 25 who is watching their life fly by and wan'ts to see immediate change in the system.

Its certainly possible that the promulgation of the internet and information in general could lead to the critical mass required.
Or it could lead to information overload, consumerism from hell, even greater separation and micro management of the entire planet.
The internets a double edged sword I guess.

As for the frustration with lack of speed, I can certainly sympathise with it although it is not just 'change' that people should seek.

The original premise of this thread is a conspiracy theory based on a rather subjective interpretation of reality imo, so RA is in my view quite right with his post up there.
all sovereign states are entitled to create their own currency.
very few do and those that do tend to get bombed.
reason being that a private banking network has global control of the creation and supply of currency.
this network of banks are for profit of course.
not only can they charge interest on the creation of currency but under fractional reserve they can lend out virtual money that they dont have and charge interest on that too.

global boom and bust is a means of the banking network gaining real world wealth and furthering centralisation of power at an alarming rate. land, homes, farms, factories, countries.…..all going to the bankers
The meanings that are the most directly practical are the ones that are sacrificed: the flavor, aroma and touch are abolished to the profit of the delusions that permanently lead sight and hearing astray.

Agreed. For people of my age, our kids are the first post web generation. They are crucial to any hope we may cling to of succesfully addressing the issues we face . Dunno bout you lot but like i've said, i aint no economist but i've made darn sure my sprogs know the basics and they're all out there in web land somewhere...and in the classrooms...and on the streets...

For someone who makes so much noise about "authoritarianism" you do like to paint yourself as somewhat of an authority on things.
