Not even positive what a record is... but my first cassette tape was one by Randy Travis, I was about 9-10 at the time (so it was '95-'96).
I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone elses blood
and I have no problem with going out the same way

I think the 1st albums I bought were Beatles stuff & some Smokie.

I remember 2 people bought me the same single - Elvis, Just can't help believing one birthday, & I didn't even like it then - I'd have been 7. And someone bought me Ernie - The fastest milk cart in the west.

My first 12" was Chaka Khan's I Feel for you, honestly can't remember my first bought album as I'd already been receiving albums as presents but not buying them by the time I bought a 12"! Probably one of the Electro albums but I've a feeling it wasn't Electro 1

The first 7 inch single I bought was I think shakin stevens and Bonnie Tyler from the local fourboys news agent. I think it was used and I bought it because that cat looked cool and he had my name. They didn't have much selection there but I was young and had no idea.

In later years my first 7 inch I bought knowingly was Doug e fresh and the get fresh crew the show.

Which may explain why my daughter whipped it from me ages ago.
(Along with many others).

She'll be foiled though, I played it so much it sounds like it was recorded during a crisp eating contest. :)

That's fair enough, it'd be worth about 30p then.

Only in cash terms.
In truth, I was chuffed at the albums she saw fit to 'borrow'. :)

I came home from work one day when she was just wee to the horror of her sitting in the middle of shedloads of my vinyl's scattered all over the floor.

I retained my composure because she's lovely and asked "What are you doing honey?"
Her reply was a bit more rambling but in essence she said......
"Looking at the pretty pictures Daddy. I took the black bits out that keeps them flat though."

Anyone else would have died instantly. Instead my brittle heart melted into mush.
Awwwww. :beat:

I left my albums stacked on the bedroom floor while decorating, and found my cat had sharpened her claws down the edge of them! Every one, buggered!
